Change Your Tone!

By Felix

from Columbia, Maryland

So I've been recently getting into bass effect pedals so after looking online to see what everyone was using i picked this one up. I plugged it in and gave it a go! I must say it sounds really good! You can dial in a little distortion for a barely overdriven sound or you can crank it all the way up to get the Muse Hysteria sound. Its pretty versatile. I would say that it can get you that distortion sound you are looking for which is why so many professionals are using them. So if you have the cash definitely give one a try! I think you will really like it!

A total must-have for every bass player

By Matt Murray

from Mayfield Heights, Ohio

This pedal has an awesomely distinct thick, crunchy fuzz tone that adds plenty of edge and boost that will make your tone sound amazing. I use it along with the Boss ODB3 overdrive and when they're combined, the sound is like nothing you'll get with any other distortion pedal. I bought this pedal in January of 2011, and I have never had a single complaint about it in the two years of it being apart of my effect arsenal. The only issue I have with it is the bass boost mode, that sort of just makes the tone go all muddy and bottom-heavy, but when in regular or normal mode, there's a hiss that can be slightly annoying. Besides that, it's a perfect pedal for any musician who enjoys having a loud, aggressive sound.

AWESOMENESS

By Pawel

from elgin, il

This is the first fuzz pedal I've bought, and it does not look like I'll be needing another one. It can do seemingly anything, from Cliff Burton's screeching tone on "Pulling Teeth", to the wall of fuzz found in Mudhoney's music. The pedal is built like a frigging tank. I doubt it's possible to break this thing unless you run it over with a semi. This pedal has three modes: normal, bass boost, and dry. In normal, you get your ordinary awesome sounding fuzz. In bass boost, you regain your bottom end if you have your tone set high, good for brutal metal riffs. My favorite mode, however, is "dry". This mixes your normal bass sound with your fuzz sound. The volume knob in this mode, instead of deciding volume, controls the ratio of your clean tone to your fuzz tone. Overall, I wouldn't look any further than this pedal if you want a high-quality fuzz sound.

Legendary bass distortion!!!

By drbeanz

from VT

This pedal is incredible! The power you get from this pedal is amazing! I canۡt get enough of it; itۡs so versatile and packs a heck of a punch! I was inspired to get this pedal because I know Cliff Burton used one of these pedals and if you listen to his backing tracks, you can the same exact sound out of this pedal, its so grainy, punchy and beefy! If you play metal bass it defiantly adds a lot to the sound. I have owned this pedal for about 2 years now and I gotta say, itۡs been used thoroughly on my pedal board in ways that I would have thought. The light fuzz effect you can get out of it is great for doing 80's disco rock and if you really get into it jazz solos! but when you want to get the biggest juiciest sound out of it you just crank up you tone on the pedal and amp , and set the sustain all the way up and bam the perfect sound for any metal player. As you would expect from Electro-harmonix this pedal is build like a tank and the switch to activate it extremely satisfying to step on. I highly recommend this pedal to every rock bassist, it will give you that edge you have always needed.

A MUST OWN FOR ANY BASS PLAYER!!!!!!!!!

By Deyquan

from Endicott,Ny

I got this bad boy in the mail yesterday morning. And man, I was ASTONISHED by the sound this pedal produces. I could go from Queens of The Stone Age fuzz to Cliff Burton distortion in the flick of a switch. My favorite feature of this pedal is the Dry setting. It takes tone clean tone thats get bypassed to your amp and adds the amount of distortion you want with NO LOSS OF YOUR LOW END. Compared to some of the more pricey pedals out there, i strongly suggest investing in this product. Also don't worry about breaking it. The components are housed inside the medal shell with very durable knobs and switches. The only thing you have to worry about is damaging the floor when you drop it!

Best bass distortion.

By Ben Utah

from San Francisco

I have been looking for a distortion that gives that really fuzzy crunch but doesn't lose the low end. This pedal gives you that plus the option to 50/50 your signal as well. Combined with my hollowbody bass this is key component to getting a heavy driving sound. It's built like a tank, simple to use and it kicks tone. What else do you need?
