The Killswitch Momentary Line Selector is a new, utilitarian Electro-Harmonix pedal. In Kill Mode, the KILLSWITCH can be used to provide instant muting. It can also be used to create interesting stutter effects by turning the instrument's signal abruptly on and off for hard rhythmic in/out transitions.
In Line Selector Mode, the scope of the pedal's use is only limited by your creative vision. It can, for example, be used to quickly switch in the effects loop, introducing a burst of distortion, analog delay-induced feedback, or ring modulation. The Killswitch can also be tapped in time with what is being played to bring effects in and out of the signal path rhythmically. This is especially interesting when one of those effects is a delay with tap tempo.
The many and varied uses of the Killswitch pedal are an open invitation for the modern player who wishes to explore the world of unorthodox sound creation and manipulation.

Comments about Electro-Harmonix Killswitch Momentary Line Selector:
the killswitch not only has the traditional use of killing the sound for buckethead style experimental playing or useful muting, but it also has the ability to turn on an infinite amount of effects with the momentary switch, i use this with a distortion and a crybaby pedal so they can both be activated. the knobs on the top of the pedal also give the ability to have the effects always on, then turn tehm off when teh line selector is activated (perfect for solos or quiet parts of songs). if i could, i would buy 2, one for killing sound, another for activating effects. when its only hooked up to one effect pedal, it basicly turns that pedal into a momentary switch, so this is useful when using effects that need to be turned on/off rapidly for new sounds. works great with all instruments (im a bassisst but this rocks on guitar).
