The Electro-Harmonix Enigma Qballs effects pedal is a powerful and precise envelope filter fine-tuned for bass frequency response. Sculpt your envelope to reveal a truly expressive tone, with a defined and unique signature. Enigma Qballs will deliver tight and smooth control over the complete 40 Hz to 3 kHz range, with a consistent and even sweetness.

Envelope controlled filters are a unique type of sound modifier where the intensity of the effect is controlled by the user's playing dynamics. The volume and dynamic of the incoming audio signal is used to control a swept filter. As the volume increases or decreases so does the frequency of the filter.

With 3 selectable filter modes, along with START, STOP, ATTACK, DECAY, Q and SENSITIVITY controls, Electro-Harmonix gives you many classic and modern Q sounds to play with to dial in vivid textures like never before. An analog distortion circuit was created specifically for the Enigma Qballs, and adds a dynamic edge to the filter's sound.

Need some edge? Engage Enigma's analog distortion and dial in anything from subtle bite to dominating crush. You can even plug in an optional expression pedal to control the filter sweep with your foot. With the ability to adjust Q, sweep range, and filter type, Enigma Qballs bass pedal becomes one of the most versatile wahs available.

Comments about Electro-Harmonix Enigma Qballs Envelope Filter Bass Effects Pedal:

I thing that when you buy a new pedal you have to spend your time testing all possibilits ,and in stage with high volume will be diferent that when you regulate in home.this pedal have eight knobs but the possibilities of variations its small.wherever the sound it̴s amazing!great filter! I have a Bass Balls,Maxon,DoD,EbS,Q-tron and others filters and the Enigma its different,i don̴t thing it̴s better than others ,IT̴S DIFFERENT, and if you like filters you must have one. Funky Sound! two points-1-it works better with the Drive̴s on 2-the drive̴s volume(Trim Level) it̴s insite, and you have to open the pedal to regulate that until you check the better gain,I thing this should be external. if you have any envelope filter you can put the Enigma in your set (Drive̴s on) Like a other option ,because this sound it̴s great and Different that others. thaks Electro-Harmonix

Greatest envelope filter to date

from Columbus, Ohio

Comments about Electro-Harmonix Enigma Qballs Envelope Filter Bass Effects Pedal:

I looked at every envelope filter on the internet and in the stores for about 4 months, from the most popular pedals to the private company's. This is an amazing pedal with so much control and versatile. This can get almost any envelope filter tone iv heard with its own unique sound. There has been so many sounds i have never heard from a bass come from this thing. There's been many occasions where my guitarist and drummer have asked me how I got that sound. The Enigma also has a distortion switch that sounds really good with the envelope filter, and also acts as a boost. I have never messed with the distortion settings but I've heard there is a distortion level on the back of the pedal in the battery compartment which could be useful. The Enigma also has an expression pedal input which i have never used but is curious to see how it will sound. I have had it for about 6 months now and would replace it as soon as possible if broke or stolen. The quality seems to be very nice, with a solid case and firm knobs and switch. Also comes with a 9 volt plug in which is nice. The only downfalls i have of the Enigma Qballs is not being able to use distortion without the envelope filter being engaged and the lack of a level knob. Besides that i think this pedal is perfect, i would really recommend it.
