Comments about Electro-Harmonix Bass Micro Synthesizer:
I own an original 70ies MXR envelope filter stompbox, and combine it with a EBS octavider. Although I consider these as the best possible addition to a bass instrument ( I use acoustic upright, fretless and fretted electric basses ) the Electro-harmonix microsynth gives me sounds that reach far into the area that is usually covered by keyboard players, such as sweeping pads, drizzling rain and the squawking of monster mutant bullfrogs. A minus in handling is, that the control lamp signals not the effect mode but lights all the time while the synth is plugged in. What I like the most is the instant access to the parameters with real faders. It still gives me chills when I move them, although I own and use the thing since almost 10 years. I love it.
