The Holy Stain is truly holy. I am usually not a fan of multi-effects pedals because there are too many options, but the Holy Stain has just enough. The two reverbs are amazing! The pedal lets you control the wet/dry signal and the length of the reverb. The pitch shifting is really cool, the only problem is that it doesn't sound too great in certain circumstances. The tremolo os great too! I love to experiment with it. The cool thing about this pedal it that it allows you to have the fuzz and drive on with any of the effects, but also by themselves. The Holy Stain is basically the Holy Grail, a pitch shifter, a tremolo pedal, a distortion, and a fuzz pedal all in one.
I did not know this pedal even existed until I was buying a new amp. I bought the Egnater Rebel 20 and it has no reverb. No big deal, I'll buy a reverb unit. At least that's what I told myself. I tried several, including the Holy Grail(Regular and Nano)and the Stain. Well, I left with the Nano and two days later I returned it and swapped it for the Holy Stain. I'm glad I did. I have had a blast with this pedal. Take some time and the fuzz can sound great. The Tremolo sounds good and the reverbs are right on IMHO. The salesman said they were on sale because they are being discontinued. I don't know why, it's a great pedal. Like anything else, play it for yourself and you decide. But if this has some effects you are looking for, it's worth a look that's for sure. BTW, I usually am a Boss fan....Well now I'm a Boss and EH fan.
This pedal was worth every cent. I use this as a reverb unit for recording as well as in my guitar set up. The tremelo on this thing is warm it sounds like the tremolo on a vintage tube amp. You can adjust it easily for a different tone as well. The pedal has a wide array of options and I'm really happy with it. I'm considering buying another one because the one down side to this pedal is that you can't really switch between the different effects within a song while having them adjusted properly, but other than that I use this pedal for just about anything you can imagine.
