  • Good especially when paired with LPB-1

As reviewed by Michael Parks on 1/19/2011

I recently used christmas money to buy this pedal, and i'm fairly impressed. I decided to choose this one because i don't do a lot of covers (i'd suggest the Big muff for those that do) and wanted to have a unique sound. This pedal delivers on the account of uniqueness, and i use the fuzz feature quite a bit. As the title says i use this pedal with a LPB-1 (before the big muff) to give it extra growl when i have the tone and the drive feature maxed out. My amp is the Acoustic B100 and my bass is (kinda a fender knock off) Deltatone active with PJ pick up configuration. I enjoy doing lead bass type stuff and this pedal gives me distortion that works well with the treble-y sound i like.

  • Amazes Me

As reviewed by Alex on 1/8/2011

I straight up love this pedal, never once have I turned it on and been less than thrilled with the tones that come out of it! It can be a very chunky fuzz, or just a little grime. Either way, this pedal is great, probably my favorite pedal. I recommend this to anyone who actually cares what their bass sounds like.

  • great but simple overdrive/fuzz.

As reviewed by Mike F. on 7/5/2011

This pedal is actually very good believe it or not. It has the choice to be a fuzz or a overdrive (it does both good). If your looking for a pedal that give you tons of options this isnt for you but if your looking for something that's simple and does what its suppose to do then you might want to check this out. I got this a few years ago and wasn't happy with it at first until i really got around to messing with it. This pedal allowed me to get a really great tone out of it. If its not strong enough for you try using other pedals with it like i do. such as the ehx steel leather or use the od to add more grit to a fuzz such as a second blogger or a bass muff pi. i kind of see this pedal as more of a small part that needs help. its good on its own but better with some "friends" *hint hint* I play thrash metal and a clean punchy tone is fine and all but some songs are better with a punchy tone with some over drive. give it a try. trust me, its worth it. As for noise, it does have some but that's nothing a noise gate cant handle. I own one as of now, my other blogger was stolen sadly so i will be picking up another. Dont forget to experiment and see if this pedal is what you need. Everyones different.
