Classic dual overdrive/fuzz, now in a Nano-sized package!

The original 1969Muff Fuzz had just a touch of overdrive and sounded like a vintage amp with a slightly torn speaker. Electro-Harmonix paired two of these together in one box to create the Nano Double Muff. Use just one Muff for a hint of milky distortion, or cascade the second Muff for over-the-top overdrive that turns the milk into cream.

In single mode, the amount of overdrive will lessen as you decrease the volume on your guitar. You can compensate for this by increasing the volume of the single Muff. In Double Mode, the Muff knobs will interact with each other so you can tweak your sound for the perfect amount of distortion every time. The Electro-Harmonix Nano Double Muff is true bypass, and operates on a 9V battery (included) or optional EHX 9.6V AC/DC adapter.

Electro-Harmonix Nano Double Muff Distortion Guitar Effects Pedal Features:

  • Two Muffs in a Nano-sized pedal
Operates in Single or Double Muff modes
Simple control set—one knob for controlling the level of each Muff
    True bypass

  • Great pedal!

As reviewed by Rafael Andrade on 11/4/2011

The Double Muff is my main drive pedal and I love its tone. Single mode is a smooth and dynamic overdrive. Roll back your guitar volume and you get a clear fender amp tone. Double mode goes from that to a big fuzzy tone, great for playing Black Keys and alike. But it's never too harsh; think of fuzz + overdrive tone. Pros: - Very versatile. From clean to fuzz, and all in between. - Great to beef up single coils. Cons: - Due to input impedance, it won't work with other pedal before it, like a wah. It has to be the first in chain. - The overdrive tone might be a little to dark if you use humbuckers or neck position. Or if you amp is already on the bassy side.

  • pleasant sound

This pedal has brought some new life into the Peavey Bandit amp. I would suggest getting one if combo amps just do not clip and fuzz properly.

  • Its a muff!

As reviewed by Ryan Noss on 1/10/2014

I've really loved my friends "Muff pi" pedal and wanted to get my own. The "Muff pi" is a little to Large for my liking. The nano dbl muff interested me. I love the sound of the dbl muff but...the hum is horrible. The further down the pedal order the louder the hum. It has to be the first pedal in my chain to minimize the hum. Over all the pedal is well built and has awesome fuzz sound. I would say this pedal would work best for pedal minimalist.
