I have this strings and love the tone of it,they stay in tune longer and last slightly longer,I tried Ernie Ball and D'addarios,and compared to them,EHX is the best,ooh yeah and cheap too.Using 0.11s..
About 6 yrs ago the strings I swore by were discontinued. So, I came here online and bought several different sets. I put them on, played them, wore them in, compared how long they'd last with my playing schedule, etc and these came out way on top. In fact, when I got to these, I didn't want to try the others - I did though just in case.
In the end, I still throw a set of DRs on every once in awhile but only bc I forgot to order these. Buy these so they don't ever discontinue them as well!
I am EXTREMELY specific with my tone and a few years ago I came on here and bought several different sets of strings - all different brands, etc. I was previously using Martin Electrics (not made anymore) and needed something that the oils and sweat from my hands wouldn't destroy. I play a lot and I'd rather spend my time making music rather than changing strings!
After trying string after string I came to these and was blown away! They have a unique feel that is smooth yet responsive while maintaining their tone. These are perfect if you're going for that more articulate "woman tone" type sound. They aren't too bright and are well balanced.
Try a set, it'll be the best money you've spent on strings in a long time!
