EH Deluxe Memory Man -- The Best
I still get excited whenever I step on the foot switch of this echo unit. It is a very organic echo/delay that doesn't mess with the original tone coming through. I play a Gibson Les Paul or a Gibson Korina Explorer through a Vox AC30CC2 or a vintage Gibson Skylark GA-5T. Talk about sound explosion! I get a very vintage "the Edge" sound any time that I want and with the different controls for delay, echo repeats, chorus or vibrato on the unit it, opens up tonal oddities and variations that fit well into the Alt/ambient styles that I find myself in right now in my musical journey. Highly recommended!!

Best Delay you can get for the price
This is the best delay you can get without passing the 1000 $. A special thing about this delay pedal is that in difference to other factory pedals this one doesn't changes your original sound. Its enough to say that Eric Johnson and the Edge uses/used this pedal being both sound/delay experts.

Memory man
Just knowing it's from EHX assurers you it will be quality sound!. This pedal gives great delay, at the small settings, it makes any chord or note sound in unison, pretty sweet. Once it's at a higher delay level it makes the music sound really trippy. The chorus is not really the greatest chorus but if it's on just a little bit it's best to use it to adjust the tone. The vibrato is great in my opinion, it gives it that organ type sound. the blend is best used in the middle since it blends the delay with chorus/vibrato evenly. If you use them both at their highest level you will see it doesn't sound that great, the notes delay too long and detune too much.
One of the coolest things you can do with this pedal is the feedback. Just at the end of a song turn it up all the way and mess with the delay button! you'll see what I mean!
This is great for setups since when it';s not on it has a preamp setting that cleans well effects with too much reverb like wah wah pedals.
I'm happy with everything on the pedal except that it has to be plugged in to an outlet. It's alittle expensive but the tone is worth it.

really cool but expensive!!
Up to 550ms of warm analog delay gives the Memory Man the ability to pull off any delay, echo, or verby-like texture imaginable. This kind of versatily has given this device near legendary status in the minds of everyone from Rockibilly slapbackers to Ambient texturalists. Nothing is out of reach except your own imagination with this pedal on the floor in front of you. Tack on a very mellow, but useful, Chorus/Vibrato function and the value of the Electro Harmonix skyrockets. The fluid squish of delay and the gentle ping of decay of the Memory Man comes very close to nailing lush qualities of tape units. The knobs are sensitve to small changes and a magic markings are often neccesary in recalling your favorite settings. Various versions of the Memory Man offer additional features like stereo outputs but they all sound great and are built to take a nuclear blast.

Best delay out there!
The Electro Harmonix Deluxe Memory Man is the best delay that I have ever used. No other delay can compare.
The most obvious difference between the Deluxe Memory Man and other delays is the amount of control it offers. There are five knobs and a switch. This combination of controls makes the Deluxe Memory Man capable of many tones that other delays simple cannot achieve. The Delay, Feedback, and Blend are similar to controls that you'll find on any delay, but this pedal has more range than any delay I've used. The 550 ms of delay time is more than enough for me - I usually use less than half of that. The Level control allows you to boost your signal and drive your amp, which is very useful and not found on any other delay that I'm aware of. There is much more boost available than I'll ever need.
What really sets the Deluxe Memory Man apart from all other delays is the Chorus and Vibrato switch. The chorus sounds great at lower settings, and adds a nice thick spacey tone to your repeats. At higher settings, however, it gets a little overbearing. The vibrato sounds great at all settings, even at max. It gives the delay more depth and helps achieve "violin like" tones. I tend to stay in vibrato mode.
The natural tone of the Deluxe Memory Man is very warm and clear. I am able to achieve great slapback tones, thick reverb tones, cavernous echoes, violin tones, and heavenly thick delays.
I've used other analog delays and the Deluxe Memory Man sounds better than all of them. If you are looking for a delay, make sure to try out a Deluxe Memory Man. Words can't describe the beautiful sounds that it generates!
