Solid construction and performance at a great price

After frying the frontside firewire bus on my Mac G5 while using M-Audio's Firewire Solo, I began searching for a more reliable alternative. The Edirol FA-66 is it. It's also a far better value than comparable units made by Presonus or Digidesign. Edirol FA-66 delivers just what you would expect from its venerable manufacturer, Roland--dependable performance at a reasonable price. It was a snap to set up, too. Truly plug-and-play. The only downside is latency, but I suspect that's just a matter of tweaking settings as I learn more about the FA-66.
