Comments about Ebtech 8-Channel Hum Eliminator:
First and most important, it works. I had a couple of troublesome ground loops which seemed to close only when I connected the unbalnaced outputs of one of my keyboards (A Use-Audio Plugiator ASX instaled in a CME VX7 controller) to my MOTU 828 MKiii, and had my laptop plugged in (that is, running on AC). I tried various combinations of AC outlets on my power conditioners with no luck. I bought the "Hum Eliminator", ran the keyboard through it, noise and garbage gone. For good measure I also used some Ebtech HumX ground lifters on the PC power supply and the MOTU 828. If you are having ground loop problems, try this unit or the two channel version. I would have preferred to have the ins/outs on the front, but I just ran them to a balanced patch panel where I have the ins/outs for my MOTO 828 and just patch the devices there.
