Being a Gibson player my whole life, this guitar gives you everything a high end Les Paul does and more.. It's probably the most solid feeling guitar ever, the truss goes into the headstock, making it so solid. It's got all the playability of a Wolfgang, same features as far as neck, pickups, pots, etc.. but it's built like a Les Paul.. there is no denying that this is an EVH Les Paul.. but the playability, tuning stability (my g string stays in tune), and overall tone is just amazing... It's a great alternative to those bored with Les Paul's... I personally, haven't played anything other than EVH Wolfgangs in years.. They set out to make an EVH brand, not just a signature guitar.. not everybody wants a Floyd, not everybody wants basswood.. this is a great step in the evolution of the wolfgang
How can this guitar cost almost $4,000 with no trem system on it? Has Eddie EVER played a guitar in his professional life without a Floyd Rose on it? I would LOVE to see Eddie play an entire concert with one of these guitars...with no Floyd Rose. I did play one, though. And YES...it plays awesome. But not for $4,000. I would rather get 2 Wolfgang Specials (Cherry Burst and Black) and 1 EVH Striped Series (Black and Red) for the same price for 1 EVH Wolfgang Custom.
Maple arch top, Set neck, Burst Top, Covered Pickups, No Floyd Rose, 2 tone and 2 volume knobs. ... Is this really EVH Fender branded? You better not tell Eddie about this model because I expect its being made at a Nashville factory.
