Overview

The Tom Araya SignatureTA-200 Electric Bass is everything you'd expect from the Slayer bassist and frontman. A sharply angled basswood body with bolt-on maple neck, black hardware and black finish give this bass aggressive looks and sound. Basswood bodies are famous for having more high-end tone that cuts through the mix, which is perfect for Slayer. Its thin neck allows you to get up and down the fretboard for faster thrash. Quality ESP BB-604 bridge and ESP SB-4 pickups round out this killer bass designed for the fiercest metal riffs and repeated thrashings.

An ok bass

By Jordan Rosser

from Cleburne Texas

When I first saw this bass I was immediately drawn to it's insane look, I mean the body and the pentagram inlays Iis probably one of the most sick things I've seen on a guitar period. However, it was a different story when I plugged it into an amp and started playing. This bass has a nice low range but it fails to cut through the band due to its lack of mid range punch. It also has an incredible amount of fret buzz and the pickups are overall average (my Ibanez sr305 has better sound) overall this bass is for those bassist/vocalists that don't want to be incredibly punished for missing a note or two. The best things about this bass is the look and the nice low range it has.
