Ok, here we go. Made/assembled in Indonesia(bottom of the assembly line. Right under China). First the paintjob is great! Slick Black and beautiful curves! The Body is heavey and seems hard as a rock(this is good in my opinion). The clear finish on the back of the neck is super! I've had other similar necks and they do not feel nowhere as slick as this! The neck feels like a 16" radius(flat fingerboard). The hardware isn't the greatest. The black finishon the locking nut bolts flake off immediately. There are small imperfections like a tiny scratch at the neck pocket and the volume control is mounted in a slight slanted angle unlike the tone control. The fingerboard on the neck could of been finished better(I'm being picky). For the money it's well worth keeping. I was totally impressed with the setup of the bridge. Most of the time these things are way off and after you tune up and such the tremolo is no where near level with the guitar body making you detune, and play with the tremolo springs for a while. I gave the strings a workout and tuned it up. No adjustments needed.

I've owned the MH-50 for over a year, putting alot of miles on it along the way.For the price it's a decent guitar it seems to stay in tune relativly well, and has nice action/playability.While the pickups are kinda cheap they seem to get the job done. Also the guitar seems very reliable, I haven't had any problems that would render it unplayable. On the other hand, the neck doesnt seem very stable, meaning truss rod adjustments often, and I still end up with some string buzz. The biggest problem is the fret work, there is a gap between the fretbord and ALL frets on the high E string side of the guitar. So if you happen to get the high e pulled off the top of the neck (it happens) the string gets caught in the gap and can cause some troubles during a song/gig.The only other thing is the finish on the hardware, not great but OK for this price range. All in all I recommend this as a beginners guitar for someone who wants to play metal and hard rock on a budget, but beware you'll probably end up upgrading eventually.

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I love it. Get it. It's the best guitar I've ever had. The whammy bar lets me bend notes like never before and the guitar stays in tune. I've never had the small fine tuning wheels before and I love having them there. I can very quickly make slight tuning adjustments while playing. The fretboard feels good. The guitar is beautiful. The electronics are solid. There's no hum when I'm close to my recording equipment. The only thing that I haven't been able to create as much as I would like to are pinch harmonics. But I imagine that I just have to find the right settings on my other equipment. Anyway, if you're trying to decide which guitar to get, this one will make you happy!

First off I want to state that I am a Schecter person, but this is the first guitar I've owned with a floyd rose. I have owned this guitar since 2012 and it is still an awesome guitar!! Pick ups sound awesome, no fret buzz what so ever, great quality feel for the price! The weight balance on this guitar is amazing! I have owned guitars that have to light of a body versus a neck and vice versa. Only thing I would change is the floyd rose for a better quality one. Other than that I love this guitar all around. Great for musicians who want to start off on the floyd rose. Also awesome for experienced musicians. Great job ESP!

        Great guitar....but FR Special

        By Steve Jwa

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

This was my first guitar that I got from local GC store almost a year ago. It was one of the used models hanging on the walls among with other LTD models. This was way before I had enough knowledges about guitar and its specs, so I happened to randomly grabbed one that caught my eye. I was into Metallica back in days, and because this guitar looked very similar to Kirk Hammett's ESP, I decided to go with it. Because I had little knowledge about guitars, I had no idea what to do with Floyd Rose, so I hated it for quite long time. However, it turned out that this was a great guitar later on. After learning how to tune Floyd Rose "Special," I barely had any problems with tuning issues. Guitar body is very solid as if it was made to last, holds in tune very well, and the pickups are very versatile, even though they are ESP made ones, not Seymour Duncan or DiMarzio. I played this guitar on Roland Cube 15W and Line 6 Spider IV 15W amps, and guitar made amazing tones out of them. Only real problem I had with guitar was adjusting Floyd Rose bridge, since it was not a Original FR, I had to block off the tremolo before restringing the guitar, and I also had to adjust the screws on the back of the guitar to adjust the height of the bridge. I would not recommend it to very beginners because of all that bridge adjustments. But I personally think this guitar is awesome, as for its affordable price with descent features. I've heard ESP is one of the best guitar companies around the world, and certainly this guitar is undeniably good regardless of the fact that it is affordable model, however, if you were to buy this guitar, be aware that FR bridge may cause problems with tuning and restringing (this is not only for this guitar, but for all the guitars with "Floyd Rose Speical" as their bridge feature)

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

I bought this guitar about a year ago and love it! For this little amount of money there is no better guitar that you could possibly buy. This guitar is solid. It's made incredibly well, feels great and plays great.
If I had to say anything negative I would say that the Floyd Rose is a little bit of a pain to tune (when it actually needs to be tuned). Basically though, I've only needed to tune this guitar once, maybe twice since I bought it!
The only other negative things I can really say are about the pickups. They could be a little bit better (but what can we expect with this price tag). I don't mind them though and you still get some great sounds out of this thing regardless.
I love this guitar and highly recommend it for anyone interested in playing metal or any hard rock style of music.

Comments about ESP MH-50 Electric Guitar with Tremolo:

The guitar does have a lot of potential. I got it used and in "very good condition" Not true, I had to refret the guitar since half of frets were almost out at treble side. When I looked inside the trem cavity the previous owner made a huge wood cut probably to allow the trem's block to float a lot more. The Floyd Rose special is really cheap and poorly made. The low e saddle screw was stripped,so I had to replace it too. Now after a couple of hundreds more. The guitar is back in shape.

This guitar is fantastic. I've been into a few music shops and the guitars just didn't feel right. Got this one shipped. There's no going back... Great rockabilly sound. If you play Doom metal, this guitar gets crunchy and filthy. I highly recommend this guitar if you don't have alot of money. GET IT!

Just got it & opened her up2 check'er out! It's not really 4 me, my daughter wanted a sweet blk gtr, well I'm sure she's gonna freak! I'd gotten her the Washburn Hanna Montana elec gtr a couple years ago & she grew outta that HM phaze, so neglected her practice, but I'd given her my Little Martin acc/elec that she's been progeressing on. I'll tell U what, this is better than the 1st real guitar I got 4 Xmas. Enitially, I'd thoght, the blemmish was between the bridge & the pick-up, but was actually @ the base of the f/r bridge, wow what a steal, tho! I'm kinda jealous...
Except 4 the blemmish, which I knew was there b4 buying, was the bomb digety!
            killer!

i bought this guitar and it plays great, sounds great, and looks great. i fell in love as soon as i heard the floyd rose scream with the pickups. the only fault is that it is hard to tune i ended up breaking a string the day i bought it but that is an easy fix. i reccomend it to any metal guitarist looking for a great guitar on a low budget.
