great axe for metal

By warwolfguitarist

from illinois

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

tried this out just today at guitar center, amazing guitar for 250 bucks. the pickups sound great, it has a good feel to it, great action, and to top it all off it has looks to die for in person, the pic here doesnt really do it justice. anyone looking for a great low cost metal guitar, look no further

amazing guitar for its price

By madmike

from connecticut

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

when i first saw this guitar i skeptical at first, but after siting down with it i was amazed at how low the action was and how none of the frets were buzzing out, it picks up harmonics extremely well for stock pick ups the body resonates very well it stays in tune fairly well when playing it its a bit top heavy though but that is not a major concern for me other than that i really do recommend this guitar for any one who likes a flying v or who likes playing guitars in general. i think its worth more than the price.

BEST GUITAR

By CROMERO

from atlanta ga

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

When i layed eyes on this guitar i knew it was for me. This guitar is the best guitar i have ever had because of the price and the quality this thing has. This guitar would be great for beginners or pros. It sounds good and the strings it comes with are tough good enough for the music i play which is metal. The shape is very sinister. I would recommend this guitar to anybody!

Great Guitar to build on

By Stevie R. Warren

from Anderson,Tx

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar to for a starting metal player to build up. I've had a few LTD V's and I've always love how they feel compared to foreign bolt on Jackson's and Dean's that have always felt and sounded cheap to me. I upgraded all of them after having them a few months but they play really well straight out of the box. The neck is real thin and the heel is smooth, pickups sound pretty good, even the factory setup is not that bad and their just fun to play. I'd recommend it to anybody looking for a V that isn't going to cost them an arm and a leg.

AMAZING GUITAR

By tim

from Voorhees,NJ

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

I just bought this guitar and i was amazed at how good it is for the price i payed. i like to play thrash metal like Metallica,Slayer, and Megadeth and i can easily play it with this guitar The neck is a nice size so it easy to move up and down the frets. The pickups are incredible for being stock but im still probably going to upgrade to EMG 81/60. The only downside is that it not easy to play while sitting down. But if your on a low budget like i am and you like to play metal it is a perfect guitar and you cant go wrong with the ESP brand

affordible and awsome

By dan

from neww caanan

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

ok first off just because the price is low doesnt mean its a bad guitar. in fact it is better than some other v's ive played. i have had this guitar for 3 monthes and all i can say is wow. its so easy too play practicly every style, and the power chords sound sound amazing. i can also hear my hammerons unlike other guitars. also it is amazingly easy too palm mute and is great to build off of a begginer guitar like me. i orginally had a spectrum buller strat and when i got this i was like just amazed at how insanely easy it is too shred. i would recomend this too everyone looking for style and affordiblity i would recommend this guitar no matter what style you play

Well worth the $250!

By Tyler Ulmer

from Lancaster PA

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

If your into any sort of heavy music, the flying V is a staple. Actually getting a real Gibson or Epi is a strain on the wallet it's worth it! It is comfortable to play sitting down and is lightweight so it doesn't hang while standing. The neck plays like a dream and the stock ESP pickups get the job done, but you should consider upgrading them to get more crunch. The only thing that might be an issue is finding a case due to the radical body shape. 9 times out of 10 GC doesn't have a case in store for them so you might have to order one. In all, if your looking for a quality V to build off of, this is it.

Great Guitar, Bad Service

By Justin Wallace

from Dayton, Ohio

Comments about ESP LTD V-50 Electric Guitar:

After reading countless reviews on how awesome this guitar is. I decided on buying one. I'm just getting back into playing after not even picking up a guitar in 7 years, so I didnt want to drop the money on a Jackson KV2 like I used to have. First off when I got it at Guitar Center it was unopened, which should have been a clue. All of my other guitars I've bought elsewhere have always been open because someone will take it out and make sure its set up correctly. I looked it over, Making sure nothing was dented or chipped or missing. It was in plenty of packaging and the guitar looked BEAUTIFUL. Finding a case was a hassle (It's the "ESP CVFF" FYI)but after finding it, it was cheaper than the ones in stock! The only problem came from not having the neck relief set. It was WAY too straight. I had to Back the truss rod off 1.5 turns because it was buzzing on the first 3 frets horribly..... all in all its a GREAT guitar with only minor finish issues and some slightly weak electronics, But for the money you cannot go wrong with it! Just make sure you know someone or you can set a guitar up (intonation, Neck relief, Pickup height).
