After reading countless reviews on how awesome this guitar is. I decided on buying one. I'm just getting back into playing after not even picking up a guitar in 7 years, so I didnt want to drop the money on a Jackson KV2 like I used to have. First off when I got it at Guitar Center it was unopened, which should have been a clue. All of my other guitars I've bought elsewhere have always been open because someone will take it out and make sure its set up correctly. I looked it over, Making sure nothing was dented or chipped or missing. It was in plenty of packaging and the guitar looked BEAUTIFUL. Finding a case was a hassle (It's the "ESP CVFF" FYI)but after finding it, it was cheaper than the ones in stock! The only problem came from not having the neck relief set. It was WAY too straight. I had to Back the truss rod off 1.5 turns because it was buzzing on the first 3 frets horribly..... all in all its a GREAT guitar with only minor finish issues and some slightly weak electronics, But for the money you cannot go wrong with it! Just make sure you know someone or you can set a guitar up (intonation, Neck relief, Pickup height).
I bought this guitar like a month ago, and all I can say is that its awesome, it has a great quality in all the features that comes with, the bridge, the SIT strings, the humbuckers sound heavy and nice!, its a perfect guitar from a good brand with a good price, this V shaped guitar its pure metal, and hard rock looking style, and the black finish is just beast!, now im looking to buy a guitar case that suits with it, because this guitar deserves it, its like 120cm of height, and 47cm of the base, I highly recommend this instrument to anybody out there who is looking for a great V-shaped guitar! long live to heavy metal! and ESP guitars!
I've had this guitar for a little over a month now, and so far I love it! The neck is thin and fast, which makes it great for shredding and playing really fast leads. The neck isn't too heavy, and sustain is pretty good. The stock pick-ups sounds pretty good for stock, but I'll probably upgrade later on. This axe stays in tune fairly well, I only have to do slight adjustments when I tune up before a session, most of the time only to a few strings. When I got it, it came tuned to Drop D. I use this to play all types of metal, but mainly thrash, and it's great for beginners or intermediate players.
This guitar is one of the greatest guitars I have ever played in my life. It was my first ESP LTD and it also made me a huge fan of ESP's guitars. This guitar came out of the box perfectly tuned. It was super easy to play and my fingers didn't hurt at all. As soon as I arrived home with it I plugged it into my Fender Frontman 10 amp and started playing it, it sounded amazing on clean and distorted. This guitar is perfect for metal with the stock pickups alone. The action is low and it's very easy to play. Before I realized it I was playing it for over an hour or two. I love this guitar, it made me sound better and it also had enough sustain for everything I played. Hammer-ons and pull-offs are very easy and fun to play on this. I highly recommend it to any level of player that likes metal like me.
If your into any sort of heavy music, the flying V is a staple. Actually getting a real Gibson or Epi is a strain on the wallet it's worth it! It is comfortable to play sitting down and is lightweight so it doesn't hang while standing. The neck plays like a dream and the stock ESP pickups get the job done, but you should consider upgrading them to get more crunch. The only thing that might be an issue is finding a case due to the radical body shape. 9 times out of 10 GC doesn't have a case in store for them so you might have to order one. In all, if your looking for a quality V to build off of, this is it.
I am a Les Paul kind of guy, been playing music for over 20 years. I have owned a lot of different brand of guitars. I play anything from Classic rock to hardcore metal. I wanted a cheap guitar I could thrash on and came across this guitar. What a freaking treat!!!!!! I could not believe the action this thing has. Pickups can be aggressive with nice squeals. Also has a solid base and gravity efficiency. So, if you are looking for a rock solid metal guitar. GET THIS ONE!!!!!!
ok first off just because the price is low doesnt mean its a bad guitar. in fact it is better than some other v's ive played. i have had this guitar for 3 monthes and all i can say is wow. its so easy too play practicly every style, and the power chords sound sound amazing. i can also hear my hammerons unlike other guitars. also it is amazingly easy too palm mute and is great to build off of a begginer guitar like me. i orginally had a spectrum buller strat and when i got this i was like just amazed at how insanely easy it is too shred. i would recomend this too everyone looking for style and affordiblity i would recommend this guitar no matter what style you play
If ur looking for a metal guitar or your looking for a guitar that is just like the lead guitarist from bullet for my vallentine then this is the guitar that u should by it has a good price and it is pre tuned to drop c which is perfect if u like metal guitars. So If your looking for a good metal guitar then this is it.
i just got this guitar on christmas and i love it all except one thing. It is impossible to find a case for this thing i mean ive had this guitar for a while now and any case i have found for this thing is around 150 bucks and i dont wanna buy a case that costs more than half of what the guitar was. But other than that its awesome! but if someone finds a cheaper case can u please tell me.
Even before I started playing guitar, the "V" shape has appealed to me. I got an Ibanez GAX as my first guitar then i advanced to an Ibanez RG120, but neither guitars were exactly what I wanted. I went down to Guitar Center with my RG to trade it in, I had my eye on the the V50 for a while, so I decided to get it, and I love it. Plus it looks like Michael Paget's of Bullet For My Valentine which I found to be awesome. All in all, amazing guitar, for the small price of 250 bucks, its a steal. BUY IT OR PERISH!!
