I played this guitar and man i had the wrong idea about EMG's and Flying V's at that,it takes a beating and throws it back louder. Most people say its hard to play sitting with a V, i'm only 5'4 and i am small but it is perfect when held right sitting down. The binding is great of Legato styling because it allows your hands to glide, and the high fret wear increase bends and allow pinch harmonix's to scream. And the EMG's being active allow a tubes preamp to really take shape, the brigde is great for solo's and the neck is great for just heavy riffs both together and you have a beast ready for metal! I wouldn't change one thing about it and the weight of it is so light it is a true flying V

For the price, this guitar has everything you could ask for. Its got a set thru neck, which might as well be neck thru because it feels amazing and gives you perfect access to all 24 XJ frets. I can bend a string to almost any point on the fretboard with these frets. The dual EMG 81s will change your view on pickups forever. Perfect!! They give you so much output and give your sound a whole new level of intense, String thru body makes the sustain even that much better, you can hold a note for days. I will keep this guitar forever. It is an amazing guitar for the price. Better than most signature models from other brands 3 times the price. If you gave a true love for metal and writing music, this guitar will be your greatest asset.

Worth more than you pay

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

I played a 2000 $ + G F V same thing, except better pick ups on the ESP ! more sustain, even gets a cleaner sound when volume and tone adjusted. Even cooler looking than the G V ! Action and one piece neck can't be beat.

Best V for the Price Point

By Elliot

from San Antonio, Texas

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is pretty much everything you would want in a "metal" guitar. It plays like a dream with its thin neck. The frets have an appropriate feel to them. The set of 81 EMGs have enough gain for any style of metal you are going to be playing. Cleans leave much to be desired, but that is expected with EMGs. The only downsides I can personally say having owned this guitar for 3 months now are that 1) The EMGs aren't really my style and will soon be changing them to Seymour Duncans (JB and SH2n), 2) The tuners could be a little better for the price. Other than that I highly recommend this guitar for an intermediate to advanced level player.

My First Flying V

By Kathy Iorg

from Texas, USA

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is worth every penny!
I had been looking for a V-guitar for a while and I saw this guitar on Musician's Friend and the time and price was right so I ordered it. I bought it new and have yet to be discouraged. The style and ease of use is awesome. It has been worth the wait and I'm so glad I ordered it. I've been playing for a while now and have played several guitars and this is, to date, my favorite one.

Awesome!

By Tiff

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

I FINALLY got a flying V and it was a tough call for me between this guitar(white) or a white gibson flying v. After some debate I decided on this one and I have yet to be let down by it in anyway. The sound, the way it plays, and it looks amazing and the price was perfect. Well balanced and easy access to all the frets. The second I got it, I had a band practice and it went through a 4 hour jam and never once did I second guess this purchase or imagine having any other guitar than this one. Nicely done ESP, and barely used for a great price.

Frickin' Sweet Guitar!

By DepressionKills

from Dallas, TX

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

I bought this recently in white, and when it came to my local Guitar Center, lets just say I had a lot of people around wanting to see it. I didnt give it a 5 on quality because my volume knobs are wired to the wrong pickups (bridge controls rhythm, rhythm controls bridge), and it kind of comes out of tune easily, but I guess thats normal? Anyway, if I ever get money again, I'm gonna buy one in black!

Great Guitar

By Big Lou-UlssY

from Dothan, Al.

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

Let me start off by saying I do not own this guitar, Yet! I have never played a Flying V guitar before today at one of my local guitar stores. I took it off the wall and WOW! This thing is Light. I have a BIG belly and it is very comfortable playing while sitting. I can't play my Strat or Les Paul sitting like this. I don't know why they put the same EMG pups in the bridge and the neck, usually they use a EMG 81 & 85 combination. Very fast comfortable neck. I thought it was an Ebony fretboard but when I got home it stated online that it was Rosewood. I never saw Rosewood that glossy in my life. The local store had it on sale to get rid of it, they said they don't sell many Flying V's around here. Great valuefor the money. I can't compare it to any other Flying V's but this one felt and sounded very good. You can't go wrong in getting this guitar if you want a Flying V.

A must have

By Micah-hSCaj

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar in the mail earlier today and I finally put it down 6 hours later to write this review. This guitar is absolutely beautiful and amazing to play. Its not neck heavy at all and it feels like it floats when you wear it. I got mine used, and the thing is, it looks and feels brand spanking new. When these guys say its near perfect, they mean it. I cannot find the imperfections mentioned about this particular instrument. Its very comfortable to stand and sit with which is a hit or miss with V's. Also, its very light compared to most other guitars. This is an amazing guitar for a low price. I HIGHLY recommend this guitar. If you're a V fan, you will not be disappointed. Bravo to ESP and Musicians Friend.

Pretty Good

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

Everything is beast about guitar except the front strap peg, if you have straplocks it gets in the way of your hand and makes it harder to pick the higher frets, other than that its pretty sweet.

Awesome Shreddin Axe!

By ESPThrasher_57

from Antioch, Illinois

Comments about ESP LTD V-300 Electric Guitar:

I got this guitar last week and I love it. Its not too heavy like some ESPs and is very comfortable. The EMG 81 actives put out great squeels and gain. I have an old Crate GLX120H Halfstack so it kinda sucks, and with my old guitar, a Jackson JS32T King V, I had to turn the gain way up for it to sound good, which made my amp hiss and scream violently at high volumes. But with these EMGs, I don't have to crank up the gain because the pickups make up for the lost gain without making the amp hiss and scream violently at high volumes. I just wish ESP made a case for their Vs, because I had a case that fit my Jackson V, and that same case does not fit this guitar. Other than that, Its a great guitar for any intermediate metal guitar player like myself.
