Overall it's a good guitar. I just wish it came with the EMG picups if it did I wouldn't have just exchanged it yesterday for a guitar that did have them. Hopefully the guitar plays just as well.
Features were good for the price. I actually liked the look, feel and features.
Quality was pretty good. I did notice it got out of tune rather easier than I was use to but I'm also use to a locking system on one of my guitars. Also the top string sounded a little muddy with the picups but it wasn't to bad, but I read emg picups would fix that.
Def worth it for the money and it played a lot better than I thought. It's a real good backup guitar and a good first time 8 string adventure to see if your down to continue to play 8 strings.
8 strings have peaked my curiousity for some time and this one finally helped me get over the price hurdle. I was quite impressed by the quality of the guitar and the overall setup (within reason for the price) The shorter scale length does make the f# buzz a bit but im upping the stock gauge (I usually play on power slinkys anyways) and having it setup so hopefully that will take care of it but thats not the reason for 4 stars. The 4 stars is because the stock tuner barely accepts the 68 gauge string for the lower f# much less anything larger. Stock pickups are so-so but for just messing around they do the job. Very decently balanced but the f# can mud up your sound from the buzz just because of how much bass their is in that string. Overall very impressed with my first ESP guitar!
this guitar turned out to be way more than i expected, sure, the neck isn't painted, but the natural satin is still a great way to go. the ESP LH-308 pickups are better than i thought they would be as well, never muddy, even on that low F#. i cant tell you how much i love this thing, check it out, you wont regret it.
