The LTD RB-1004 electric bass rocks a swamp ash body, burled maple solid top, a thin U-shape maple/walnut neck, 34" scale and 22 extra-jumbo frets on a maple fingerboard. And an Aguilar AG 4J-HC bridge pickup & AG 4P-60 neck pickup push all your earth-rumbling notes down the signal path. A Gotoh bridge makes sure your notes have the maximum sustain imaginable, while the Grover tuners keep everything cinched down and in-tune through heavy crunches and string-stretching licks.

Comments about ESP LTD RB-1004 Electric Bass Guitar:

As soon as I picked this bass off the rack I was sold. The weight is light and can be played for hours. Action was low and neck is amazingly fast and easy to play. Love the unfinished neck back and the finished fretboard is amazing. I've gone through many basses over the years but I think this may be the one for me. Wasn't sure if it would be a perfect fit me being a Hard Rock, Classic Metal player but I think this bass could be played by anyone. Grover tuners feel really nice and stay in tune forever. I am not a slap bass player but I am finding that I may become one if i keep playing this one haha. Nice job ESP!!

    Amazing Looks Amazing Sound

Comments about ESP LTD RB-1004 Electric Bass Guitar:

I have been playing bass for over 40 years and am always on the lookout for a bass that is lightweight, plays great, sounds great and looks great. This bass is all of those and more! The Aquilar pickups are exceptional and VERY responsive to slight tweaks of the tone knob. The P Bass pickup will give up the booty big time and the jazz bridge pickup can give up the Jaco funk with ease, mix them together for your tone. There is a two band EQ, there really is no need for any more than that. The neck is very thin and extremely fast, the oval inlays are absolutely beautiful to look at as is the burl top. The hardware is a smoked metal color and bring out the multi-colors of the neck inlay-HOME RUN! The best thing about this bass is that it weighs 7 lbs on the nose and has the thump of a 12 pound P Bass on Steroids, AND your favorite Jazz bass. A Winner all the way, Rocco knows what he is doing!

    Huge disappointment, WAY overpriced

    By Arthur Cohen

Comments about ESP LTD RB-1004 Electric Bass Guitar:

Waited months for this, loved the look of it and expected a above average quality instrument for this price point. Well, I ordered it the day it became available and it arrived in a few days. It was very light, but not in a good save your back from a long set kinda way, but more a cheap flimsy low quality way. Played it a while and really struggled to get a good vintage tone from the Aguilar pickups which was a big surprise even though I've never tried them. So that's two strikes. Ok let's recall the price-which for me was strike three; at a third or a quarter of the price this would prob be a keeper, but for what I paid I expected much more, and this puppy has to go back to the shelter. Oh, and the kicker is that the back of the neck was completely unfinished and it felt very light and cheap. I've got about 20 basses and the only one with a neck like that is the kit bass I put together, but I left that unfinished and it's one of my favorites. ESP should be ashamed at what they're asking for this one.
