Overview

The ESP LTD MH-400NT Electric Guitar is the perfect axe for high-powered rock and the guitarist who wants maximum sustain and no trem. String-thru bridge, set-neck with almost no heel, active EMG-81 pickups, 25-1/2" scale, and deep cutaway access to the top of the guitar neck. The MH-400NT has an Earvana compensated nut that puts it in tune, and Grover tuners keep it there, even when the strings are getting slammed. This ESP electric guitar has a quilted maple top on mahogany with see-thru black finish and black hardware giving it a look as dark and dangerous as the sound it puts out.

Excellent guitar for the price

By Rick Haag

from Phoenix Az

I purchased this guitar a few months back when it was called a MH-400NT, but I believe the 401 is a renaming of the same instrument. I was shocked at the ease and playability this guitar has. I was never a fan of foreign made guitars until I discovered the ESP "LTD" line. I also purchased a Viper 100FM (see seperate review) and it is a great value in its own right. The 401NT is neck through body and has excellent sounding EMG pickups, I play it daily and have been for several months and the battery is still going strong. No fret buzz, no loose hardware, just a great sounding, low maintenance, easy to play guitar.
