Comments about ESP LTD M1001 Electric Guitar:

Deep scratch in binding through 15th fret, color in binding buffed through around 4th fret. These issues due to careless finishing process. I think this should not have passed QC. Floyd rose stopped returning to neutral after about a week; coating was so thick / soft it was grinding off at the posts. Luthier had to address, now works fine. So, for a top end model, these issues are disappointing. Maybe I should have returned this, but it all costs money. If you get one, check it over before accepting it?
The neck is thin, which i really like. And it sounds great.

Comments about ESP LTD M1001 Electric Guitar:

These arent really m 1000s. M 1000s have wider necks and or fancier appointments. They are the old m 300 fms . 42 mm width at the nut , rosewood finger board, check inlays. They are exactly the m 300s . I have played both . I had passives put in mine. Very easy playing guitars with lots of sustain and fullness due to the neck through. I had bought the newer white m 1000 and didnt like it. The neck was super wide . Over 43mm at the nut and they felt klunky. These however are great. Im wondering if they had a bunch of 300s left or did a ship back to remarket these ? Do yourself a favor and get this over the m 1000 white or the lower bolt ons. This one is better.
