Comments about LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

Fits a good chunk of my dream specs in it. I love it and have hardly a complaint about it. It's meant for heavy music and sure does the job.

Comments about ESP LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

I use this guitar to mainly practice in my bedroom (so far that is). I would definitely use it live. I love the reverse headstock. The pickups are pretty much EMG's (even though they have the ESP logo on them). If it wasn't for the price I wouldn't have been able to get it. It's got the specs of a higher end guitar. Floyd Rose Special bridge and locking nut keeps it in tune well (of course not perfectly if you whammy like I do, but that goes for any floating tremolo/locking nut system). I only have one complaint and it's not even a valid one: I wish the finish included a body binding in white just like the fretboard has, but that's me being picky. I didn't have to think twice once I saw that the price tag was in my budget.

Comments about ESP LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

The only problem I had with this guitar was there were not any updates during shipping, but I did receive it in 5 business days. Incredibly fun to play, even right out of the box! I did swap out the strings (came with d'addario, I'm a DR guy, but that's just personal preference). Would highly recommend to anybody of any skill level.

Comments about ESP LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

This guitar is built really well and plays really well. I am definitely VERY happy with it overall. The wammy bar get s a bit loose too easy and it doesn't seem as heavy as I would ideally like but that's me being a bit picky. I did switch out the bridge pickup for an EMG 81 although the ESP pickups seemed OK. I hope to get a more high end metal guitar some day but as intermediate guitar you can't beat the price. Guitar Center was good about getting it set up well for me.

Comments about ESP LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar because I wanted a cheap-ish but solid guitar for rock/metal that would allow me to change my tuning quickly (my main guitar is an origianl Floyd Rose). When I saw there was a special Christmas deal on this guitar, I looked at the woods and hardware and thought it looked good enough on paper to try.

My first ESP ltd and I was pleasantly surprised! First inspection upon receiving it showed that it was essentially perfect. The action was good, no fret buzz, no globs of glue (some was visable sandwhiched between the fretboard and neck in some places, but who cares) nor any problems with the wood or paint. I took off the plate covering the electronics and everything looks well soldered and in good shape. Everything sounded fine when plugged in. The neck is fast which is a plus for my taste and the guitar feels solid even though it's kind of thin (that's mahogany for you), but it's still kind of light which is also nice. I've been playing it for over a month now and no problems.

The only subjective negative is that it sounds kind of chirpy and trebly when put on the distortion channels of my Mesa Boogie RoadKing when compared to my other guitars. From what I read, some people said that's the problem with these stock pickups. In my opinion that's the only thing holding it back from being the perfect cheap guitar for my taste. So when I change out the pickups it may become my #2 ax.

All in all if you are looking for a very respectable guitar for metal or rock on the cheap, buy this! When you're ready to drop another hundred or two, get the pickups you want and you're set!

Comments about ESP LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

I purchase the M-330R about a month ago. I am a huge fan of the Ibanez guitars but picked one of these up at my local GC while I was browsing and it immediatly blew me away. This is def. a rock guitar that has a nice clean channel using the neck pickup as well. I love the active ESP pickups but am going to replace them with the James Hetfield EMG set next week. Other than that I highly recommend this guitar for both intermediate and advanced musicians!

Comments about ESP LTD M-330R Electric Guitar:

I got mine with a promo code which saved me a good bit of money, so for the price I'm very happy. The build is very solid, the neck has a great feel and I like the fact it has a very simple lay out of one 3 way switch and a volume knob. I always control my tone with my amp and they used a Les Paul style 3 way which makes changing the pickups easy. The pickups themselves sound great clean, but when added over drive or heavy distortion(especially considering I'm running through a Peavey 5150 2x12 combo) these pickups sound extremely weak. It's sounds like they took their passive design, made it active but didn't put a preamp to the pickups which would explain why they're quite yet have no punch. I also checked out their assembly job. The fret work is nearly flawless, the intonation is dead on and the build is very solid, but I had a little dirt at the bottom of the neck which I cleaned using some rubbing alcohol and I checked out the solder job and it had a few cold joints. I'm going to replace the pickup with a Seymour Duncan TB-6 and an SH-2. That will not only make this guitar sound better, but those pickups will work great with a mahogany body and it will be unique considering that ESP has nothing in this price range with that build that has passive pickups. Once that stuff is done this will be a guitar that I'd feel proud to gig with. I already lowered the action and it plays great, it's a little heavy, but considering it's so well balanced I couldn't see that being an issue.
