this is an amazing guitar however im not to fond of the floyd rose (special) tremolo the emg 81 combo pickups are a very nice touch they play great and are very versitile meaning they are good for playing all round differnt types of music. recently i have installed emg 85 combo both in the neck and bridge position. this guitar shreds more than any guitar i own. if i were to do anything else to this guitar i would install a better tremolo. i would recommend the floyd rose original or the 1000. i really have no complaints about this guitar besides the tunibility. but recently i have discoverd by adding an extra spring in the back in the low e,a,d and high e it stays in tune much longer. my guitars been in tune for about 4 weeks now. the guitar in my opinion looks better in person then online also i think this guitar is better for metal and riffing other than soloing i would deffinalty buy this guitar its the best deal for your money the quality is there the feel of the guitar is spectacular and pretty close to the neck not quite like the ibanez this guitar feels like a floyd rose ive owned this guitar for about two years now and it is by far the best guitar ive picked up
This Guitar is AMAZING! Picked it up and instantly fell inlove with it. The Floyd Rose is amazing and the thin neck makes it super easy to shred faster the EMGS sound mint and it looks amazing i deff suggest YOU get this guitar
NOTE: I picked up this guitar USED! it's in amazing condition and its relatively new. Well, i actually went to a Guitar Center branch and found this guitar(before i had an account on here) and i really liked it. I picked it up, it felt awesome, it played awesome, and it sounded awesome. This is my first guitar (hell of a good first guitar id say!) and i'm deeply impressed with it. I've played Gibson's, Ibanez, B.C Rich... But this is probably the most comfortable of them all in my opinion. When i picked it up the action needed to be adjusted, as did the bridge and a slight neck adjustment. But nothing major. With the EMG's on it, this guitar gives out an amazing sound. Set properly, you can have a very close resemblance to A LOT of Metallica's sound. In my opinion, this guitar is well worth what they are selling it for... And i recommend it to everyone!
I bought this guitar several months ago and it felt great. In the store I felt it and the neck was nice and easy to slide on which is perfect for faster playing. I couldn't ask for a better weight either. The EMG's in this really make it great for lead and all of the frets are easy to reach with the shape of the horns. Incredible, no downsides so far.
This is my fifth guitar, and this thing is crazy!!! It does everything! I mainly play metallica type stuff, but this guitar can do it all! The finish on this guitar is durable and beautiful! (I own the See-Thru Black Cherry) the neck feels so nice, it is very thin and is soooo friggin fast! this guitar practically makes you shred whether you want to or not! the neck is also controlled. The XJ frets are great, it makes hitting notes alot easier and faster. the guitar has a nice weight to it too, not too heavy, but not light enough that you feel like its a piece of junk. the floyd is great (this is my first Floyd Rose guitar) it took a while to set up, but after that, it was the best! I dive bomb the hell out of this guitar and this thing has stayed in tune for four weeks at least (I have coated ernie balls on it) the tone is beyond explanation! the EMGs give it that great metallica/zack wylde tone that we all know and love, the bridge pickup is great for heavy rhythm tones and a great, sharp, responsive lead, the neck pickup is good for cleans and soft leads. pinch harmonics are so easy to hit on this guitar its not even funny! both pickups have alot of presence too. over all this is a friggin awesome guitar, i play this guitar WAY more than my Gibson Les Paul, if you want a fast guitar, that stays in tune FOREVER, and that has great tone and sustain, just buy the friggin guitar!!!! dont even hesitate! trust me, you wont regret it!
I think this guitar is fantastic. it plays fast, the emgs sound phenominal and very comfortable to play. however, i took the back plate off as i was adjusting the bridge while changing the strings/adjusting the action(as we know, are probably the most fun thing to do with the infamous floyd rose bridges), and the screws stripped faster than a jersey girl on shrooms. i dont like going to guitar shops if i know how to do this stuff myself(which i have countless times before), but being my friends guitar these screws have damaged my reputation. that is my only beef, i wish they would put quality hardware into a product your paying quite a pretty penny for. again, otherwise great guitar.
This guitar is great, very light on the weight, has a really thin neck with neck thru construction. The sustain is crazy on the guitar, and the Emg 81/81 is the best for lead guitar. The 81 in the neck on clean actually sounds great, and the floyd rose stay's in tune very beastly thru bends and dive bombs. Even tho its made for metal, its actually very versitle, and definitly can handle any type of styles. Luv it!!!
I haven't gotten one of these beauties yet however I intend on getting one. I was planning on getting a PRS Paul Allender signature model with the EMG pickups, until someone decided to buy it. That's when I stumbled upon this weapon of mass destruction. The EMG set on it makes the sound is so grainy on distortion, minus the horrible feedback. The feel of it is just perfect and the floyd rose is a major plus for this killing machine. And the black cherry finish makes it that much cooler!
I was walking into the store with 600$ looking for a Jackson, but there weren't any in stock. So, as I was walking around looking at all the other "lame" guitars, I stumbled upon this masterpiece. It plays SOOO good just like any other Jackson for the price but insanely better! The thing came already set-up and tuned which was unbelieveable! Low-action, fast-neck, what more could you ask for!? Also, a nice looking cherry finish really sets it off!
I haven't purchased one of these yet, however I fully intend to. I played around with one in the store. I was planning on getting a KH-602 until I saw this. It has all of the same features for 300$ less. EMG Pickups, FR Licensed bridge, Neck-thru, and it looks AWESOME.
