This guitar is just so sweet, might I just say first that I would recommend getting the D-tuna for it though- if you like playing in dropped tuning that is. This guitar gets some reviews on other sites stating that the pick ups don't give enough - Big lie- My dad has a american made telecaster with loaded emg's 81 and 60 . This in my opinion sound way heavier and brighter toned then my dad's. and my dad likes it too. I would recommend this for those who like to play stuff from glam metal to Metalcore. It covers almost any playing style. One thing I did notice with the locking nut is that if you have the nut lug turned wrong- then it won't lock right. What i mean is that if you look at the studs on the bottom(where the strings get pinched down) Have some room light to see it- but you should see A groove cut in the center, make sure you have it where both sides look like they have a bar on each side- if you look closely enough then you will see it. I found out because my guitar kept going flat and sharp. When on closer inspection I was able to find this out. Floyd works fantastic, I took the middle spring out to make the whammy to dive easier. Buy this and you won't be dissapointed. Contact me if you have any questions about it.

Features: For the price you get a solid guitar with the lower end branded floyd rose, aka the special. The pick ups are stock ltd's and they have really good sustain and sound for passives. Quality & Reliability: I owned this guitar for about 2 weeks before returning it. It was a quality guitar but you get what you pay for in a sense. The amount is a good price to pay for a mid range guitar but I was seeking something a bit more high end. After having it professionally set up and the bridge lined up with the body the floyd provided amazing dives and harmonic sounds. The neck is bolted on which isn't the greatest feel but its what you expect from a guitar under 600. Look & Feel: a very light guitar, easy to handle when standing, no shoulder strain at all. as for the paint, if you get the black like i did, the "see thru" isn't like the picture at all, its much darker and hard to tell its even see thru. Overall: If you have a low budget and want a guitar with a floyd and really heavy "metal" sounding pick ups then this is a great guitar, i suggest checking it out in person before buying it as with any guitar. (mostly because of the paint). I ended up spending a couple hundred more and getting the 300m with the emgs.

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

i just got this guitar and love it! i've been playin cheap guitars for quit awhile and have played some high priced ones as well. this guitar has got a good feeling from the moment you pick it up. like others have said before me, the floyd can be a pain but once you get it in tune, it stays in tune.i've done some pretty hard divbombs and have yet to have to retune it. if you can afford the pricetag, then this is the guitar for you.

Good Guitar For Metal

By The End Lies Here

from Baton Rouge LA

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I've been playing metal for years and gone thru some guitars by now, this guitar has a punchy sound, the paint job I like it, and it has a contour body so when you are trying to get to it's 24th fret it will feel great, the neck is thin, and if you have patience to tune a floyd rose than this guitar is for you.

Great Guitar!

By Random Sample

from Minneapolis, MN

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I purchased this guitar about a month ago after much searching and testing of several different brands and models. This is a really easy guitar to play. the neck is a good style for me, and is very comfortable. For me it was a choice between a Jackson and this ESP. The Jackson felt clunky compared to this one. This guitar just seemed to feel better and was an instant blending with my hands. I did pull the stock pickups out and I put in two EMG's I had kicking around. I put an 89 in the neck and an 85 in the bridge. It sounds so awesome it is unbelievable. The bridge is cool Floyd Rose Special, stays in tune for hours, and works great for any style of play. I have owned Ibanez, Jackson, and Dean guitars in the past, but I like this one the best. very nice instrument for the $$.

Well. I bought this 5 weeks ago and it is awesome for metal classic rock and has a nice crunchy clean tone and a bluesy tone on neck. The Floyd is holding up well and it is overall awesome.

Amazing Guitar

By J. Palmer

from Nashville, Tennessee

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I bought this guitar about 2 weeks and since then I haven't stopped playing it. The guitar is great for single picking or just straight chords; as well as there is no fret if it is setup right. The floyd rose let's me stay in tune for hours, so far haven't tuned it in about 2 days and still in perfect tuning. The fretboard feels great and is very slick so it is easy to play fast. The pickups are surprisingly great for stocks, whiched shocked me. And while playing it on a Line 6 Spider 4 30 watt the sounds can only be improved when playing it. So overall I rate this guitar a 5 out of 5

The last of the high quality and affordable Metal Guitars, with a Floyd Rose! Buy it Now.

By Mike G.

from N.Y. N.Y.

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I bought the Esp LTD M100 because it came with the Floyd Rose. I sold my last guitar a Jackson DMXG Dinky for a Gibson Vintage Mahogany Les Paul (Burstbucker pro V 8k), no regrets there but after about 6 months I started to miss the Floyd Rose and the Dimebucker I installed in her(high gain). So I went on a quest to find a affordable but high quality metal guitar. I know that there might not be such a beast but to me a Metal Guitar is a D style neck slim for lighting fast fret work, high gain pick ups and a Floyd Rose. Well this guitar had it all but I wanted even higher gain on the bridge pick up so I got a deal on another Dimebucker. The stock LH-150 bridge pick up is rated at 15k which is very good but I wanted that mid gain you get with the Dime which is around 17k. Well I am happy with the LTD M100 I installed the Dimebucker and tuned the guitar to 1/2 step down tune. I have been self taught with guitar work and Floyd Rose tremolo work the information to do your own repairs on the internet are endless. I love this guitar it is what I have been missing METAL!! listen to the LTD M100

i got this guitar a few months ago and i havent stopped playing it since. This guitar is great for any metal or rock songs, but also has a decent clean. At the first moment when I look this guitar I fall in love. have the black cherry color an i love it. the floyd rose stays in tune very well and the neck it's pretty fast, the stock pick ups are very well from metal to blues, with a crunchi sound with distortion and very crispy on clean sound. for the price I can't find nothing better

i had this guitar for a few months and it played great but a problem came about with the neck. there is a joint up by the headstock where the two pieces and on mine that piece on the headstock backbowed and two different guitars. so watch out for that.

AWESOME CRISP TONE

By Tyler Bargas

from Chicago

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

ive had this guitar for about 4 months now and cant believe how it plays ! let alone i bought mine used i can only imagine what its like out of the box. the ESP150 pickups have nasty lows and crisp highs. The double locking floyd rose tremelo system has been perfect since i adjusted it. i added one extra spring on the back because mine was used and i changed string gauge. I got this guitar because my buddy has a KM1000 thinking i could get that tone. he has EMG81 and i still sound in unison with him. (turned up volume a little lol) and the slim design neck is more comfortable than i ever imagined. this guitar is about three years old now who knows how many owners its had but im not givin this one up.... its a keeper! I 100% recommend this to you, you will not be disappointed

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

i absolutly love this guitar!!!!!!!!!!!!! its so beast. the floyd rose is legt when your not putting strings in it cuz that takes a while. if you like music like WINDS OF PLAGUE i definatly reccomened this. its easy to get to the higher frets to solo withe ease. the strings fall a little out of tune every now and then but never not enough that the fine tuners can't fix up.

A back up plan for my RG550.

By Bill T

from cincinnati

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

Was a little concerned with the price being so low and me normally buying the top of the line in any brand so I was pleasantly surprised when I got this home and set it up and it friggin' wails! This isn't a country or really a bluesy guitar, straight rock and metal. Shred machine, I play Vai and Malmsteen and this is definitely capable. And the pickups are fine, remember the pickups are a part of the tone chain but a really good AMP is the next real part to have. I have played the whole This pickup with this stomp box etc, etc, game and learned the expensive lesson. Put your $ in the bank and when you can drop that $2-3k on your amp, do it! A cheap guitar with an awesome amp always wins! Seriously, try it out! Go to GC and take this guitar and plug it into a Mesa Dual Recto or a Soldano and tell me this guitar won't tour with the best. Go on, check it out and see if I'm not right. See...Hate to but ,I told you so!

Great looks and feel. Tone is muddy

By Bob R

from Frederick, MD

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

Just got this awesome piece of craftmanship!! Really well designed. Awesome finish. Floyd Rose stays in tune, really it does. Took me about 45 minutes to get it just right. Even hard whammys up and down keeps in tune! Now, the sound is somewhat muddy. 2 way switch doesnt really make a significant difference in tone. There really is no treble. I'm going to either swap out the pickups or add a 3rd pickup in the middle. Would I buy this again? Yes! For the price I paid $300 with tax and $30 off coupon... Great deal for a good guitar. Bottom line... If you can get it for under 300 bucks... GET IT!!

You Wont Regret Buying It!

By Omar Rogers

from Louisville, KY

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

This guitar suits my needs perfectly. Right out of the box, there were no flaws. This guitar sports a extra thin, flat U neck. This makes soloing a breeze. The Floyd Rose tremolo works great. I play a lot of Metallica and if you know Kirk Hammett, you know he loves his whammy bar. The guitar rarely needs fine tuning. You will need to tune it when you first play it out of the box, but that's almost any guitar coming from the factory. The pickups are nice and provide me with a nice thick tone when I am using the neck pickup and a really nice tone with the bridge pickup. I have had this guitar for about 10 months. It has been very reliable. The quality of this guitar is just great; For this price, especially. Not too heavy or too light and the finish is still as good as new. I strongly encourage you to invest in this product. ESP never lets me down and they are the brand I plan on staying loyal to.

Great, but one problem.

By Benjamin Johnston

from Aurora, CO

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I bought the M-100FM and then picked up an MH-103QM a few days later to replace the guitar I originally started learning on. I use both and both guitars have the same issue with the trem arm: it will quickly come lose during use and wobbles quite a bit. Aggressively tightening the back-nut for the arm receptacle on the 100 and swapping out a different arm and it now stays in as long as it's tight. If you let the arm swing lose, it will continue to loosen and get more and more wobbly. The 103 will stay tight for about one song. All in all, this is still a great guitar: it's comfortable, sounds great, looks great, and stays in tune. As a beginner, the trem arm issue isn't really huge. I'm having fun with it.

Amazing

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I just got this guitar n its amazing. It has such great tone n it never loses it when im using my pedals. I recommend this guitar for any metal player. The neck is so smooth so its easy too move around the fret board, n fast. The floyd rose bridge on this guitar is a plus. Its great for doing dive bombs. The only bad part about this guitar is that it takes forever to tune and thats because of the floyd rose bridge. But other than that i highly recommend this guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I've finally found what I'm looking for. This guitar has a very thin, and smooth neck. I couldn't believe how well this guitar played. being a guitar tech, I've played alot of expensive guitars, and this feels better. and is ten times cheaper. double humbucker, great. floyd rose tremolo, great.thin neck, great. what else could you ask for. for the money you cannot get a better deal.I don't make rash decisions when it comes to money, but I played this guitar and then had to buy it. this ones a keeper.

By John Smith

from Texas

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

this is a piece of art. I regret nothing about getting it. I'd put it up with a high end guitar even though its only 320 it sounds great and the floyd rose is fantastic. I will say do not buy a floyd rose without knowing what it is I just though it was a whammy bar with a cool name but i learned that wasnt true pretty quickly. After about 7 months of having it I know all about it now though, however its very confusing at first if u dont know what your doing and i almost ruined it. In short before I trail off it sounds as good as it looks Id say deffiently buy it.
