This guitar is just so sweet, might I just say first that I would recommend getting the D-tuna for it though- if you like playing in dropped tuning that is. This guitar gets some reviews on other sites stating that the pick ups don't give enough - Big lie- My dad has a american made telecaster with loaded emg's 81 and 60 . This in my opinion sound way heavier and brighter toned then my dad's. and my dad likes it too. I would recommend this for those who like to play stuff from glam metal to Metalcore. It covers almost any playing style. One thing I did notice with the locking nut is that if you have the nut lug turned wrong- then it won't lock right. What i mean is that if you look at the studs on the bottom(where the strings get pinched down) Have some room light to see it- but you should see A groove cut in the center, make sure you have it where both sides look like they have a bar on each side- if you look closely enough then you will see it. I found out because my guitar kept going flat and sharp. When on closer inspection I was able to find this out. Floyd works fantastic, I took the middle spring out to make the whammy to dive easier. Buy this and you won't be dissapointed. Contact me if you have any questions about it.

Features: For the price you get a solid guitar with the lower end branded floyd rose, aka the special. The pick ups are stock ltd's and they have really good sustain and sound for passives. Quality & Reliability: I owned this guitar for about 2 weeks before returning it. It was a quality guitar but you get what you pay for in a sense. The amount is a good price to pay for a mid range guitar but I was seeking something a bit more high end. After having it professionally set up and the bridge lined up with the body the floyd provided amazing dives and harmonic sounds. The neck is bolted on which isn't the greatest feel but its what you expect from a guitar under 600. Look & Feel: a very light guitar, easy to handle when standing, no shoulder strain at all. as for the paint, if you get the black like i did, the "see thru" isn't like the picture at all, its much darker and hard to tell its even see thru. Overall: If you have a low budget and want a guitar with a floyd and really heavy "metal" sounding pick ups then this is a great guitar, i suggest checking it out in person before buying it as with any guitar. (mostly because of the paint). I ended up spending a couple hundred more and getting the 300m with the emgs.

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

Let me start by saying I got this guitar for about 100 really. I had about 120 in backstage pass points and I bought it as an open box item which saved me about another 100 . There was supposed to be a minor scratch on the top and back of the guitar, but I'm not sure what they'r talking about because I have yet to find a scratch.

This was my first floyd rose, so I did not know what i was getting into. It took me about two days to get the bridge flush with the body of the guitar and the strings tuned. After I finally did, I plugged it in and it sounded awful. Unpleasent tone, dull and muddy all around terrible sound. I shouldve just changed the strings to start with but i was anxious to play. But a string broke on the second day so i changed the strings, so i had to do the whole process over again (I changed gauge strings so bridge was no longer flat w body). once the strings settled it sounded much better then originally, but i still wasnt happy with the sound. The intonation was also off so the low e sounded out of tune on the higher frets.

About a month later I had a Dimarzio Super distortion pickup installed in the bridge and a Paf Pro in the neck, and had the guitar set up by the local luthier. Now it has lived up to all my hopes and dreams, Its my baby. I play rock, blues, ska, and anything really and it sounds great for every genre ive used it for.

So it has the potential to be a great guitar, but you have to be willing to put money in it. I payed about 100 for the guitar, about 85 for each pickup, 50 to have the pickups installed and another 100 to have the guitar set up (he charged more because of the floyd rose). So overall I payed about 420 (ha) to get the guitar to my liking. I am very happy with my purchase, but if i had payed full price for the guitar (i think its 329 rn) I would not be nearly as happy. (it would have costed me 650 for everything then).

my advice: CHANGE THE STRINGS IMMEDIATELY BEFORE SETTING UP FLOYD ROSE AND TUNING

Great guitar for an affordable price. The stock pickups sounded a bit muddy so I replaced the bridge pickup with a dimebucker and it sounds absolutely beautiful. I'd definitely recommend this to someone who plays hard rock/metal

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

This is a great guitar for the price. The only things I had an issue with was setting the zero point on the tremolo and the springs on the tremolo made noise. If I did a dive bomb when it returned to zero point the springs would make a clunk sound. Very annoying but I think it has gone away after some use. I would think the factory would setup the tremolo but how can that be done when the strings are not stretched either? Anyway no big deal if you know how to do a setup. You can't beat this guitar anywhere for the price. I'm pretty happy with it. I've had Jackson Dinky guitars and Ibanez RG and JS guitars and other then maybe new pickups sometime I'm happy with this guitar. I would buy another one of these in a second.

    Great, but one problem.

    By Benjamin Johnston

    from Aurora, CO

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

I bought the M-100FM and then picked up an MH-103QM a few days later to replace the guitar I originally started learning on. I use both and both guitars have the same issue with the trem arm: it will quickly come lose during use and wobbles quite a bit. Aggressively tightening the back-nut for the arm receptacle on the 100 and swapping out a different arm and it now stays in as long as it's tight. If you let the arm swing lose, it will continue to loosen and get more and more wobbly. The 103 will stay tight for about one song. All in all, this is still a great guitar: it's comfortable, sounds great, looks great, and stays in tune. As a beginner, the trem arm issue isn't really huge. I'm having fun with it.

    You Wont Regret Buying It!

    By Omar Rogers

    from Louisville, KY

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

This guitar suits my needs perfectly. Right out of the box, there were no flaws. This guitar sports a extra thin, flat U neck. This makes soloing a breeze. The Floyd Rose tremolo works great. I play a lot of Metallica and if you know Kirk Hammett, you know he loves his whammy bar. The guitar rarely needs fine tuning. You will need to tune it when you first play it out of the box, but that's almost any guitar coming from the factory. The pickups are nice and provide me with a nice thick tone when I am using the neck pickup and a really nice tone with the bridge pickup. I have had this guitar for about 10 months. It has been very reliable. The quality of this guitar is just great; For this price, especially. Not too heavy or too light and the finish is still as good as new. I strongly encourage you to invest in this product. ESP never lets me down and they are the brand I plan on staying loyal to.

    Amazing Guitar!

    By Norman Burt

    from Washington, DC

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

Like every other reviewer has said, this guitar is far better than its price tag reflects. The stock pickups sound decent and definitely do the job well, though this is probably one of the first things you'll replace somewhere down the road. This guitar is better isolated than some of my other guitars that I paid over twice this much for... it's amazing how quiet it is! The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is because when it came one of the lock screws on the nut was stripped out. I replaced it with a new one in about 5 min and have never had another issue with it since. I would 100% recommend this guitar without hesitation.

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

It's so much better than what you would expect from the price... The FR can be a little hard to set up if it's your first time, but if you know what you're doing, it's not so terrible. Great tone, very comfortable to play. Love it.

    AWESOME CRISP TONE

    By Tyler Bargas

    from Chicago

Comments about ESP LTD M-100FM Electric Guitar:

ive had this guitar for about 4 months now and cant believe how it plays ! let alone i bought mine used i can only imagine what its like out of the box. the ESP150 pickups have nasty lows and crisp highs. The double locking floyd rose tremelo system has been perfect since i adjusted it. i added one extra spring on the back because mine was used and i changed string gauge. I got this guitar because my buddy has a KM1000 thinking i could get that tone. he has EMG81 and i still sound in unison with him. (turned up volume a little lol) and the slim design neck is more comfortable than i ever imagined. this guitar is about three years old now who knows how many owners its had but im not givin this one up.... its a keeper! I 100% recommend this to you, you will not be disappointed
