After many requests from guitarists, ESP is offering two new H-Series models, this model, the LTD H-1007 with Tune-o-matic bridge and string-thru design, and LTD H-1007FR (item H71369) with Floyd Rose trem. Both guitars are 7-string versions of their outstanding H-Series guitars. The mahogany body produces rich, warm lows and sweet sustain
while the flamed maple top adds brightness and clarity. The Tune-o-matic-style bridge with string-thru-body construction promotes maximum string vibrational transfer that is harnessed by EMG 81-7 and 707 active humbuckers to yield massive attack, definition, and sustain.

I bought this guitar a year ago from my local guitar center as a replacement for my early model schecter c7 blackjack and I couldn't be happier. Ive owned and/or extensively played Schecter, Epiphone, Gibson, and Fender guitars, and in my opinion ESP blows them all out of the water in terms of quality for price. The h-1007 is a great deal, built with a set through maple neck on a mahogany body with a flame maple top giving it great highs for soloing and a super tight low end. This guitar sounds massive. I was always reluctant to use active pickups, but the emgs in this guitar really impressed me. The clean sound of these pickups is extremely underrated, the neck pickup has a pristine clean sound that gives the guitar a lot of versatility. That said, these pickups sound their best when used with a lot of gain, especially the bridge pickup. As soon as I brought it home I tuned it and plugged it straight in my Tourmaster and it sounded great, and looked just as good. I also love the neck on this guitar, its thinner than the schecter I'm used to playing, amd much more comfortable. The finish on this guitar looks great, the see through black eith flame maple and pearl binding makes this guitar really stand out, the pictures dont do it justice at all. The bottom line is this guitar sounds amazing, looks great, and is super comfortable to play, and its very affordable at about $900. If you're looking for a great seven string without spending your life savings, this is the guitar for you. I like it so much that I recently purchased an esp ec-1000 as well and hopefully I'm as impressed by that instrument as this one.
If you're looking for a seven string guitar and wanna spend less than a 1000$.. this is it. Beautiful and brutal guitar. The set thru construction gives it everlasting sustain and the emg pickups are sweet. the neck plays beautifully and you have very easy access to the 24th fret. I love this guitar
