Overview

Continuing ESP's goal of providing excellent guitars for everyone, LTD has also introduced more 200-Series models that are affordable for any musician on a budget. George Lynch, who's been playing ESPs longer than 99% of people ever heard of ESP, has a new Signature Series model, the LTD GL-200K (with a graphic finish based on his well known ESP Kamikaze model).

The GL-200MK neck was spec'd by Lynch himself and is instantly comfortable. A Floyd Rose Special bridge and locking nut keep notes in tune when dive bombing or shredding.

A screaming ESP LH-150 humbucking pickup produces high-output tone and, along with a versatile LS-120 neck pickups, is all this guitar needs to get the job done.

Worth the price and worth the wait!

Comments about ESP LTD GL-200K Electric Guitar:

The difference between the ESP Kamikaze and the LTD is a couple of thousand dollars for the most part. This makes some of George Lynch's preferences for sound within reasonable costs. I just got mine in and she will need some break-in time. What I do like is the tone of the pick-ups for my style of playing. Great harmonics! The Floyd Rose double-locking trem is a bit stiff but HEY its new still. And has that "New Guitar" smell to it. For my hands the neck isn't built like a log and I can access all 22 frets with ease. I'm not sure I'm liking the laminated neck vs. unfinished neck but we shall see in time. One interesting piece of work is the recessed straight audio jack on the bottom edge. You won't need a 90-degree jack for this one. All in all, I like it. I've had white guitars because they go with "anything" (lol), but the color scheme of this ax is as F-I-E-R-C-E as is namesake and inspiration! Ciao for now! Lexikat

Comments about ESP LTD GL-200K Electric Guitar:

Do not pay over $300.00 for this guitar. There is just not hardly any quality in this guitar at all.

Release Your Inner Furious Warrior

Comments about ESP LTD GL-200K Electric Guitar:

I?ve loved George Lynch?s sound since Breaking The Chains (1981) and so found that there was an ESP within my price range: The LTD GL200K. Lucky for me, I needed a new guitar. (For internet orders, please order from a store to save some potential confusion.) After I got it home and out of the box, I set up the action, stretched the strings and the tuning (E flat). Do not forget this step! (Double-locking Floyd Rose tremolo?s require this.) Plugged it in and right away I loved the width of the neck, the lowness of the action and the feel of the guitar. (Crate 15W reverb amplifier) The pickups run the amount of harmonics and low end that I prefer. The push/pull pickup volume knob takes getting used to but you know what you are reaching for after a while. Blues sounds equally sweet through this guitar. Bending the strings felt effortless-and it stayed in tune <3 I will probably replace the neck pickup with a Seymour Dunkan ?Lil Screaming Demon, and maybe a JB in the bridge pickup too, but I like a higher output from the neck coil. Overall: it?s a pretty solid guitar without the high price of the ESP Kamikaze. Keep on rocking!! Lexikat

Comments about ESP LTD GL-200K Electric Guitar:

Great for the price. ESP LtD has always done a good job on their imports...Good build and no sharp fret ends. Its a shredder. Necks a bit beefier but not Gibson like. Get a good setup and throw in the extra 100 bones for a Duncan screamin demon pup and you'll be jammin breakin the chains asap ;)

Comments about ESP LTD GL-200K Electric Guitar:

The first one that I purchased was delivered to the store.....I came in and opened the box...all kinds of fingerprints and swirls in the paint especially around the volume know...was definitely a used guitar...didn't accept it and had GC get me another one....the next guitar wasn't much better but I decided to take it anyway....I brought the guitar back to GC for Brian the guitar Tech to replace the pick-ups with Seymour Duncans and he said that the Dime pick-up wouldn't fit so I returned that and bought a SD Black Winter and he told me that doesn't fit either....I have 2 friends that have this same guitar and they both put in Duncans with NO problem....Brian told me that he tried a DiMarzio Super Distortion to see if it would fit and he said it did so I just ordered a DiMarzio Evolution...the cut outs for the pick-ups are horrible and it is a generic paint job...I guess I am used to the REAL ESP guitars which are superb instruments...so far I am absolutely livid about this guitar....I WOULD NOT recommend buying it unless you are a beginner....

Comments about ESP LTD GL-200K Electric Guitar:

Fun guitar . neck pickup could be better but the pickup selector in the knob is fun to use and drops out enough output to switch from distorted to a sort of clean sound. This is only my 3rd floyd rose but it is the only one i cant keep the strings from popping out of the bridge. I just have had zero problems with my Charvel desolation or fender Richie Sambora model, neither of which is an expensive guitar.
