Comments about ESP LTD EX-401DX FLOYD ROSE ELECTRIC GUITAR:

Lets get this out of the way up front. This guitar is crafted well and looks fantastic a real eye catcher. Now for what really matters and that performance. This guitar is everything I need it to be, from being balanced in no matter what position I play, sitting or standing. If you play metal the EMG's speak for themselves, yet, you can tame it down when need be but why? The neck and action are great for speed and access to the upper frets is not a problem. The tonal quality is just what I'm looking for and covers the entire spectrum. All said and done this is a lot of guitar for the money and in my opinion worth every penny. Out of the box the setup is dam close only a small tweak was needed. This guitar is aggressive, so grab one and go for the neck!

Comments about ESP LTD EX-401DX FLOYD ROSE ELECTRIC GUITAR:

This guitar is something alright, something rocking! Cool-looking Explorer-style body has comfortable weight, and the see-through black/charcoal finish suits this model. The Floyd Rose 'Special' bridge is so-named due to to slight differences from the Floyd Rose 'Original' (in my opinion the best choice for extreme whammy use). But the 'Special' doesn't disappoint - after the necessary string stretches & set-up it will stay in perfect tune, even with high pulls and low divebombs. In fact, all the fine-tuners on the Floyd Rose Special have extended range, easily allowing you to detune from low E to D, for example, without unlocking the nut and making rigorous adjustments. And, right out of the box, the guitar was set up well (I just barely lowered the action). The active EMG pickups shine, each note of a full chord rings out, and so do harmonics. ESP has also kept the price of this guitar down by including it in their LTD series. Any concerns about perceived lesser value will soon become minor qualms, though, once you play it.
