Comments about ESP LTD EC-401QM Electric Guitar:

To non-ESP/LTD players this guitar may seem very sweet. To experienced ESP/LTD players this guitar is hands down amazing! I own two other LTD's (EC-1000S and EC-2015) and this one has a neck and heel joint that makes my other LTD's jealous! The neck is flatter, thinner and the heel joint is very smooth.

While the neck and heel joint are what make this guitar (check the photo above), the red satin quilted maple and EMG pickups round out the amazing qualities it possesses. From the moment I walked out of GC with it, I could feel how flat and thin the neck was carrying it to my car. When I got home and plugged this into my Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier and Recto 2x12 it screamed, roared and when I hit the neck heel it was the most amazing experience I've ever had with an LTD EC model! The only small complaint: non-locking tuners (but easily replaced).

Many of the GC exclusives are very "meh" with watered down features and a cool paint job. This one is none of that. This guitar is a pure winner! If you're a serious metal guitarist and love Eclipse types and 24.75" scale necks, this is one to take under strong consideration. ESP did not disappoint and you can only get this at Guitar Centers, so check yours!

Note: The description states Indonesia as country of origin, but mine is stamped Korea.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401QM Electric Guitar:

I bought this as my first decent guitar after fooling around with a cheap Squire beginner pack model. I never got very motivated to work on my playing because no matter what I did it sounded bad playing through the cheap amp in the started pack and the guitar lacked quality as well. This guitar changed all of that! After talking with the friendly staff at Guitar Center (Middleton, WI) I was handed this, and I couldn't believe it. The active pickups, quality Grover tuners, and awesome look of Dark red / black chrome hardware made this one really stand out. Combined with a Blackstar ID Core 40 amplifier and this is a great setup, for a beginner like myself or a seasoned veteran. It is absolutely awesome to play and blows away many of the other much pricier guitars I was looking at!

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401QM Electric Guitar:

This guitar was handed to me by someone at Guitar Center after they heard the way that I played. I was just looking that day and once I played it through the EVH 5150 III 50 Watt amp and 2 x 12 cab that I was playing through, I looked at him and was like, 'why did you hand me this guitar?'. I was sold. The guitar plays like butter. The neck is thin, then EMG pickups are smoking hot. Good thick sound. Beautiful finish. I was actually looking at several other guitars and ended up coming back some weeks later to purchase this guitar. I kept thinking how incredible it played. This was a great purchase and the folks at Guitar Center in Memphis were great to deal with, as always. Good people.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401QM Electric Guitar:

I went into the store looking for a Strat. I left with This gorgeous LTD. This guitar is one of the best guitars I have ever played. It has the standard EMG pickups (81&85), 14 in. neck (Great for soloing), 24 Frets, (You can never go wrong with more versatility), and a thin U neck, which, I believe feels great.

This guitar not only handles good rocking tone, you can roll down the volume and tones to get a nice subtle clean sound. I use this guitar at my church. It is amazing.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401QM Electric Guitar:

I work at a GC, and when this guitar came in, it sort of kept catching my eye. It was one of the first prototypes to bit the market early. It had a strangely comfortable neck profile, shaved all the way to the body. Slim, satin, smooth. It had active pickups, my first time really handling that. And it looked killer in red. It had double ply binding, Grover tuners, a solid Tune-O-Matic, hardware in tough to order Black Nickel, and was $100 cheaper than the 2016 Gibson 50s Tribute Standard which is also a very nice guitar. But, the 81/60 EMG combo slayed for every single style.

I play in a covers band, which is fun for the money, but since we cover every style from Lady Gaga to GNR, I needed a very versatile guitar that could handle multiple genres of music. This guitar can pretty much do anything, and it sounds clear as a bell. The 60 Neck cleans up amazingly well, and I already play with a pretty mean Orange Dark Terror that is fairly over driven on stage. The guitar doesn't muddy up, and with added chorus yes, you will hit those clean, almost sterile clean tones Metallica is known for. This one is a different slice of pie, as I had never delved into active pickups. It's louder, it can get aggressive quick, cuts right through the mix even on wimpy iPhone footage. When you are tearing up a solo people hear it if your sound guy doesn't blow. And it's very sturdy. Get it set up to how you like it, buy a really good case for it, and this lady will keep on giving.

I'm dead serious considering buying another one and having a live axe, and one for home use as well. Never felt so good about a guitar purchase until I bought this guitar. If you are looking at buying something for anything from jazz rock, to pop, to blues, to yes... metal lol... you won't be sorry you bought this. This one will out play some of the Deluxes we carry on the wall. Seriously, get this in red or black and thank yourself on stage or at home!

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401QM Electric Guitar:

I intended to buy a Gibson Les Paul at Guitar Center. After trying a few of them, I randomly picked up this guitar. The result is surprising. It sounds as good as any one of the Gibson guitars. This why the ESP LTD is called the Gibson killer. It may not kill another guitar, but it definitely is a killer.
