I've been a Guitarist since I was 6 years old. I'm almost 17 and I've used everything from 7,000 dolla Gibson SG to 50 Dolla First act Guitar. I Actually LOVE The look of this guitar. BUT I picked this over an SG and now I wish I never did. The pickups are too muggy and I like even EMGS. The fretboard is thick and wide but still not too bad. I own an Ibanez RG370 And thought this would be a great complementary guitar for it. I was wrong, the guitar has a tangy sound too it and it never stays completely in tune for more then 6 hours. Its a good practice guitar and plays better with low gauge strings. But for the Price I wasted my money and that's the bottom line. If you want a nice guitar thats well made then buy either an RG350 Or an RG370 Both made my Ibanez and play like gold and have great fretboards. Btw there in the 300-500 price range.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401 Electric Guitar:

I purchased this six and a half months ago and I am still in love with this thing. The guitar itself is absolutely fantastic, the intonation is swell, and it stays in tune after hours of playing. My friends think it's quite pretty as well. I'm not always fond of how the pickups sound sometimes, though. I might switch them out later. But for now, they sound decent through my Blackstar Ht-40.

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401 Electric Guitar:

I bought this because I have heard good things about ESP LTD Eclipse and picked one up a bit and thought I would get my own, and I am tired of all the white guitars with GOLD hardware! Were not all from the seventies, the music is great from then, but the gold was not, in my opinion. Neck is skinnier than my Gibson and makes it nice to move around on. Would recommend this guitar. Very nice.

Beware, They are made in Indonesia, & Korea,( NOT CHINA)

        By Cliff

        from Miami Florida

Comments about ESP LTD EC-401 Electric Guitar:

To ME,,, IT IS A GREAT GUITAR, I OWNED an ESP EC 500, Made in Korea and I Returned it because I seen on line at Guitar center an ESP EC-401 with case fore $100 more. So, as a greedy fish I was hooked! ( Te ESP LTD 500 is the same as the 401, but not knowing it was a collectors item I took it back. Know at Hallandale they use to sell ESP EC 401, but being cheep I did not want to buy the case. Stupid me having the ESP EC-500 White and and silver hardware took it back. Next day I thought what a mistake I made after researching internet, I went back and it was sold almost as I brought it back. I bought the EC- 401 with case I bought and I had to first set the neck, the knobs, were screwed on wrong, and it was made in (China) I sent it back and lost my insurance money because I was working and did not return it in a month. So if you get 1 that says," made in China" remember they are made in Indonesia or Korea Korea are best.

Solidly built guitar, quality components, excellent craftsmanship. Feels like a guitar that will last you many years - the sound and playability are up to the same standards. I would recommend this guitar to just about anyone looking for a solid value rock/metal/heavy blues instrument. That's what I use it for anyway, and it works just fine for me.
