When I went up to guitarcenter and played it I was absolutely amazed with everything about it. Sweep picking was a breeze. The pinch-harmonics screamed. The neck was so fast it was like playing butter. I play many styles of music and I haven't found one that this guitar doesn't go with. The sustain is flawless, I could play a note before I went to sleep, and I'd wake up to find the note was still playing. I would highly suggest buying this guitar no matter what.

I give it a 6/10 for all the trouble, but a 10/10 for the sound. If your lucky and live near a music store with one in stock, highly recommend getting your hands on one and making sure its okay.
The features are AWESOME on the amber sunburst model. I'm not a fan of EMG's so I went with the one with seymour duncan JB's and trust me, those things sound SO crisp and clear. I love how it sounds.
The quality however, is terrible. First one i got had uneven frets and half the notes would play out of tune no matter how perfectly in tune the guitar was. I sent it back since that shouldn't happen on a brand new guitar and they sent the next one and, well...it was a bass. This wasn't musicians friends fault, it was ESP's. After sending that back and getting my third model, everything was fantastic...except one of the volume pots is busted and you cant turn the knob all the way or else the sound completely cuts out. So I'm gonna have to send this one back as well and hopefully we can get a working one soon. I love the sound, but 3 mistakes in a row shouldn't happen, ever.
Great guitar for it's price, however...like i said i went through 3 faulties so far, possibly more down the road.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

I have owned this guitar many times in the past, so it is a workhorse. One of the best values at this price I can think of. My only bad experience was I ordered online and opted to pick up in the store. When I got to the store, they gave me a floor demo model. This is not usually a problem, as they are usually lower priced, but I paid for a brand new one. I didn't get a box or any paperwork for the warranty, and was just handed a guitar. The color of the bridge is already fading and it appears to have been heavily played. Otherwise it is a great guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

This guitar is just about perfect. I love the mahogany neck and body, satin black finish, locking tuners, EMG pickup's, and ebony fretboard. The neck shape and satin finish feel really nice when playing. I could do without the tone knob, but that's probably nitpicking. The sustain and tones are impressive, and the overall fit and finish of these Korean made guitars are exceptional.

      EC 1000 Vintage Black

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

It's my 7th guitar to own. I'm picky. I want great looking guitars that also play and sound great. This one fits that description. I play it through a Fishman Loudbox and wow, I like the sound of this guitar best. It has a tastefully 'dirty' sound even in clean mode. Playability is excellent if you have good reach (and I do). I'm using extra light Elixir strings. You just don't need anything heavier with these EMG pickups. Excellent balance. Not too heavy. Super smooth tuners. Slight buzz on the low E. I would give this guitar a 5 rating, but the buzz and my Les Paul Standard beg to differ. Still, this is a really great guitar for the money. Rock solid 4 all day long. Get rid of the buzz and you'll be making my Les Paul nervous.

Excellent guitar nothing bad to say about it. I love it. I actually bought 2 guitars 1 ibanez and this esp deluxe both were around the same price ibanez looked cheap felt cheap sounded cheap needless to say it got sent back. Now I'm jamming on the ESP completely satisfied more so with it than my les Paul of many years.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

Owned one at once. For the money, the guitar was probably the best I've ever owned. Locking tuners, quilted maple top, lots of flashy inlays and binding (too flashy for me). Sounded good, although I prefer passive pickups. Body is thinner than a Les Paul, provides better access to the upper frets than a LP. Great guitar.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

Yes I said it, I use this thing for blues. Now just hear me out before you call me ignorant or stupid or something. I'm sure most people would look at this guitar and instantly think metal, and boy if it doesn't scream when you lay on the distortion, but that's not all it can do. I mainly use this guitar live, and I'll tell you why: the pickups. The active pickups send a MUCH cleaner signal through you cable to your amp, so when playing live your guitar will come though strong and clear. Now I've heard people say that you can't clean up EMG's, but they just haven't tried hard enough. I play mine crystal clear, not a single ounce of breakup. Another thing that I love is that it has 24 frets. Now I never really play up that high, but because of this the neck pickup is moved a bit closer to the bridge. This brightens the neck pickup a lot, and gives it sweet, not too bassy tone for both soloing and chords. Have played the ESP version of this, not really any difference except a couple thousand dollars. Same woods, same pickups, same construction. Sure the ESP version is going to be of higher quality, but not enough to justify the price gap. I have other guitars for studio use (Fender Strat, Fender Tele, Gibson ES-335) that I also use live, but I never show up to a performance without this, purely because of how reliable it is live. Also will melt your face off if you use it for metal.

Comments about ESP LTD Deluxe EC-1000 Electric Guitar:

I was so excited about owning a really nice guitar when I ordered this. I had played the Vintage Black model in a store and loved it but Musician's Friend had an opened box Amber Sunburst in mint condition for a lot less. The box was NOT packaged well at all and the neck pickup was jammed all the way to the wood, looking like something had hit it, but I was able to adjust it. It is an absolutely beautiful guitar, feels solid and the Seymour Duncans are great. The negatives for me are the fret buzz on three strings, it is out of tune each time that I pick it up to play it (I did stretch the strings) and the very deep frets. A guitar tech could possibly do more than I could to fix the buzz and tuning issues but there's no way to deal with the deep frets. If I press even slightly too hard when playing, the tuning changes. On a personal note, I've never owned a non-Fender style of guitar and my ability to control the distortion by muting with my right hand was limited. I had to completely change my picking style. If you've owned a Gibson shaped guitar before then this is a non-issue for you. To sum it up, I enjoy playing my son's cheap Fender Squier more than I do the ESP and will be sadly returning the EC-1000. If so many people consider this to be a 5 star guitar, I have no idea what I could replace it with.
