I got this guitar recently, and I'm here to say WOW!! This bass is very under priced. I've played Warwicks, Schecters, and Ibanez 6 strings that just don't compare, even though they were much more expensive. The EQ is amazing. The natural wood is beautiful to say the least. I would highly recommend this bass to anyone. It came with great action and sounded wonderful right out of the box. 10/10 in my book.

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

Late last year (2015) I began looking for a six-string bass I could convert to a 12-string. I'm crazy like that. I ordered this bass used from GC back in April of 2016. I got it within a few days. It took several months just to find the right bass for the task. The B-206 beat all the other considerations hands down. It has a double truss rod system in the neck, a wide neck and a 35-inch scale, which is preferable for lower voiced basses. I found this bass and was ready to buy on at the store, but fortunately, I happened to look on the GC website and found this particular bass. It has the flame maple top rather that the spalted top of the new ones. When I started the conversion, all I had to do for the extra six strings was cut a second groove in each barrel of the bridge. I did have to add some mass to the headstock and reinforce it with some steel stock. That made it a little top heavy, but I play all me instruments in my lap. That extra hardware added a serious sustain to the thing. Hit a note, and it just hangs on and on. My bass is now tuned from high G to low F#. Each pair of strings is tuned in octaves like an 8-string bass but with a greatly extended range to the low side. I don't recommend anyone to try this unless you reeeeally know what you're doing. Having one of these built by a custom company such as Conklin could easily cost around $15,000 or so. Having said that, I will say this: If you do that, you will most certainly get your money's worth! It's all about affordability. Bottom line - for me, it was worth the time and effort. This is a rock-solid bass to begin with. It played and sounded great when I got it, and it sounds even much more "awesomer" now. As is, the B-206 is a great bass to have an anyone's collection.

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

I'm getting use to it, i just wanted a six string. It's a solid built bass. Excellent for the price.
The preamp is very weak. I'll probably be replacing it with an Aguilar OBP 3.

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

WHAT A DEAL I GOT !!! This bass is a phenomenal value !

I own a Peavey ( passive p/u's) and Schector Stilletto Extreme 4 strings bass guitars. I wanted to move my game up a tad and saw this 6 string Bass. What really caught my eye was the detail and quality in the finish alas I thought if it only sounds as good as it looks .

I you tubed it and took the chance and ordered it in. It arrived on time and extremely well packaged. I changed the strings to DAddario flat wounds ( my preference) to match my other instruments feel and set it
      up.

AWW Man it's awesome great range and tone and easy to navigate with a little adjustment form the 4 to the 6. I feel like I've added to my repertoire significantly . I am extremely satisfied with this Bass. Nice neck easy to move up and down very solid body well assembled built to last .

Even just sitting in its stand I get so many compliments on how it looks . To the point that I think I will stick with the spalted maple look .

Definitely looks great sound great and gives you pride of ownership when you sit down with it. as for my practice I enjoy moving between the 4 and the 6 and had to upgrade my rig to handle the new axe. To take full advantage of its versatility

No complaints that a few naturally adjustments and increased familiarity cant cure , thats to be expected I highly recommend this bass.

Short of holding my New Born in my hands, it was like holding my New Born

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

The best thing anyone can imagine holding in their hands. The Neck is smooth and fast. The Weight is evenly Balanced in my hands. Tone is exceptional. Although I am still in the early learning phase of playing. This will mark my 7th bass. And this right here is by far the best one yet. When will I stop. After number 8 I will stop promise.

Smooth transition from 4 to 6 strings...

      By Justin Keyser

      from Kalamazoo, MI

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

I owned a 4 string Wal custom bass which I regrettably had to sell recently. When it came time to purchase a replacement, I decided to step up the game and go for a 6 stringer. I couldn't have made a better choice than this ESP! The quality of this instrument is almost beyond belief when factoring in the low price I paid for it. Neck is smooth as silk and the string spacing is ideal. Even the action was perfect from jump street. The 3 band equalizer offers a splendid mix of tones and the knob setup is well placed and easy to access in a hurry. Low, breathy B string sounds amazing with no fret buzz whatsoever. Anyone considering a 6 string bass should seriously look into this model. This bass cost 10 times less than my former instrument, yet the sound is in no way indicative of that. Simply amazing, beautiful to boot, and highly recommended.

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

Bought this guitar online, and had it shipped to my address.. I am happy with it, overall, but the sound can be a little muffled.. This may be because of how the action is set up; probably.. It is a great looking guitar..

The most amazing bass I have ever played/owned.

      By Carl Myers

      from Union Connecticut

Comments about ESP LTD B-206SM 6-String Bass:

I have been playing over 40 years and own many fine Guitar,s but this unit is the best value, I have ever purchased. Good looking, great action , powerful tone, well built and priced well below what I think its worth. I play thru a mesa boogie bass amp and this guitar makes it roar. I am very fussy about my tone , my chopps, and my stage presentation. This six string bass says " I am here to play and play hard" I really lay down a foundation of music with this bass. Thank you so much for such a fine instrument.
