I have been playing guitar for about 3 years and decided to start playing bass. I needed a new one because my other bass is starting to go to hell. At first, I didn't really want this ESP because it was a 5 string. But I quickly found out that you can easily ignore the 5th B string. This bass is perfect. It plays very well. The fretboard is amazing and fast and the pickup does not buzz or make any other unwanted noise. It is surprisingly very light (which makes your shoulder really appreciate it). The only problems that I have with it is that the body feels really cheap. I know that it is very cheap because when it arrived in the mail, it had a chip in the finish (on the back) where the stupid UPS idiots don't know how to deliver things properly. They must have dropped it to make it do that. Also, the input feels cheap. But honestly, what do you expect? It's only a $150 guitar. So if you are a beginner or looking for a good deal, then this is the bass for you!!!!
I like this cause it was better looking.Felt better & sounded best as a low buck 5 string.I have a bum neck and heavy guitars are the problem but this is really light and sounds great.Intonation was spot on but action abit high. Also as to be expected the neck was a bit rough. Some 1500 wet & dry paper and all was good.Great neck that plays fast.Fit & finish was perfect.Kinda bright in sound so I put on D'Addario ground wounds and I love this thing.Easier to play the the Schecter Omen I'd had before and liked but too heavy for my darn neck.Dont over look this cause of the price. Also I'm use to p-bass type controls so it was easy to work with.Just enjoy the cheap side.its all good.
