Much like its 4-string brother the ESP B-104, the LTD B-105 is short on scale, but big on great sound. Its extra string allowes you to delve even deeper into the barrel of bass grooves. Its dual ESP SB-5 pickups w/ESP ABQ-2 2-band active EQ capture the bright tones created by the basswood body, bolt-on maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. Style-wise this 5-string bass also has thick, beveled edges which accentuate the body's rounded curves. The upper horn is elongated while a deep cutaway along the much smaller lower horn gives you better access to the lowest of the 24 XJ frets. It's also got a unique angular cut at the end of the fretboard, underneath the strings, a shapely headstock, and chrome hardware, which give this bass exceptional flair.

I got the bass for Christmas and even though I only just started playing it is very easy to move around the fingerboard. I recommend this bass to players of all levels. Aside from the body profile looking amazing you can get some great tones out of the active two band EQ! Turn the bass knob down for a slap tone or fingered chords or even leave it all the way up and it still sounds great. The tone is perfect despite that the amp I have isn't so good. I love the low B string for playing a riff and then playing a lower octave on it. The stock strings sound so good, I am mad because I don't ever want to change them but I could not find the Clear Tone coated strings at Guitar Center. But this is an overall great bass no matter what style you play- slap, rock, funk, jazz it don't matter!
Beautiful, fat, punchy sound, a perfect finish, and very good quality hardware! What's not to love!?
I am drummer who has dabbled around with almost any instrument you can think of and I recently became really attached to electric bass. So I bought this because I have heard nothing but good things about ESP guitars and basses and didn't want to break the bank with an expensive guitar. This bass sounds incredible for the price. It sounds excellent with a new set of strings and a little tweaking of the bridge to get great intonation. The bass is also a deep blue not like the color shown above. Overall this bass can't be beat by anything else even close to this price range.
Ive had this bass for about a year. Has good lows and semi nice mids. The action on my bass was very strange, the A# note on the A string sometimes begins to rattle. Overall a good bass to play bachata and merengue due to its nice lows. Do not regret purchasing.
I LOVE THIS BASS!!!! I bought this bass right before I went on tour in Memphis, TN and this B-105 was felt from venue to venue. I also used it in many recording sessions and the sounds is AMAZING! I named her Nina from the Gunsmoke Blue color. It is a little smaller and lighter than the average bass but just as powerful as any other 5-string. The 24 frets is perfect for doing runs and solos. It is my first personal 5-string but I have played others but this one stuck out ot me the most..which is why I bought it for this amazing price. Definitely worth it, I even got a couple other friends who want this same exact bass.
This is one solid bass. Color is not nearly as horrible as it is in the photos . Definitely worth the money! Is all i have to say...
this bass not only looks amazing, it sounds amazing as well. i like this bass because it just simply sounds amazing and plus with the sustain it has just simply WOW! it blew me away the first time i plaid it and it just keeps on doing the same each and every single time i plug it in.
