Overview

Made in the Japan Custom Shop, Kamikaze-3 George Lynch Signature Electric Guitar has a maple neck with ebony fretboard, maple body, Seymour Duncan TB-12 and ESP SS-120 pickups, Floyd Rose Original bridge, extra jumbo frets, volume with push/pull pickup select, and custom graphics.

Seymour Duncan TB-12

This bridge position humbucker was designed specifically for George. It has a big open "P.A.F." sound with a little less bite and a little more growl. The tone is big, percussive with a defined treble response that doesn't get harsh.

ESP SS-120
This single-coil neck pickup produces more traditional bright, clean tones that are great for bringing out flurries of single-note runs and with a little distortion can churn out some dirty Texas blues-rock sounds.

Japanese Tank

By Jonathon Vargas

from Carlsbad, CA

I have the Kamikaze 2. Same thing different paint job. This is the heaviest guitar I have ever owned. Built like a tank, it feels like it can take a lot of punishment. George Lynch must have large hands because it has one of the widest necks that I have ever played. Being that it is a big fat piece of maple it sounds incredible with a ton of sustain which is unusual for a trem equipped guitar. The neck pickup with the volume knob rolled down sounds bluesy and the bridge pickup has a lot of depth and warmth that growls like nothing else when the gain is turned up. It has a recessed floyd rose so you can pull up and down on the bar and it will stay in tune. If you want a high quality guitar that is simple, has a locking trem, great tone, and sustain that is comparable to Les Pauls then this is your guitar.
