Like it!

By Sage

from Petaluma, CA

Classic look, skulls and crossbones add nothing to audio quality but I still like it, hot humbuckers, sounds great. I have several guitars, the floyd rose is fun as hell, but if you aren't playing that guitar all the time, it's a little of a pain to keep in tune. Overall very happy with it.

This thing is solid

By Steven Walstrom

from Renton, WA

I bought this guitar brand spanking new in 2001 when I was gigging a lot, and this this is rugged. I have dished out abuse to it that most people wouldn't even imagine doing to a guitar this expensive it, and it took it like a champ and still lives on today fully intact. When I bought this guitar, there was no NTB option unless you wanted to buy the relic version, and they were putting two EMG-80s in them. There was only a single LTD version as well, that paled in comparison. However, I haven't found the bolt-on neck to be much of a drawback to me. The tone of the guitar is awesome, and the neck is anchored down solid. A lot of people will say it's just like an M-II, which it's pretty close, but I've found having individual volume control over each pickup to be useful when I was playing a lot of punk rock back in the day, and I don't believe you'll find that on an M-II. You just have to decide what's best for you. Nevertheless, this is THE EASIEST guitar to play that I have ever played, hands down...even among the American Deluxe Tele, Gibson LP Std+, and custom built Warmoth guitars that I currently own. The original Floyd Rose bridge with the locking nut is a dream to play on. This is my favorite tremolo bridge set up because you can reef on the wammy bar all day long, and the guitar never goes out of tune. The craftsmanship on the guitar is top notch, I was very impressed with it when I got it new.

Don't take anyones word for it...

By Integrity

from APO, USA

This is an outstanding axe, no matter what the "snot nosed teenagers" rebeling against what everyone else likes and the "I know better than you" guitar sales clerks. Yes, this is a 3 piece bolt on M-II and it sounds and plays great. If it was any less of an achievement than the KH-602 or KH-202 they would have priced it the same and put "LTD" next to Kirk's signature, but they were proud enough to put the "ESP" next to his name. Put a NTB and a 3 piece bolt on in Kirk's hands and see if you can hear the differance! Go play it for yourself, and if you have the $$$$ you wont regret buying it!

Could be better

By Sevren G.

from Aiken, SC

This guitar could be better. The only thing wrong with it is the bolt-on neck. The pickups are great on clean and distortion. All-in-all, this guitar is good, but if you want something similar to Kirk's real gear, go with the KH-602 LTD Signature. It's the same but with the neck-thru body and its cheaper than the rest besides the KH-202.

Don't Buy

By Reese

from Las Vegas, Nevada

Don't buy this guitar, buy the ESP M-II or ESP M-II NTB. That's exactly what this guitar is. The only difference is that on this one, you pay more for the skull inlays and Kirk Hammet's signature. I just advise you not to buy this and follow my advice. I'm gonna get the ESP M-II NTB and overall better guitar because it isn't a bolt on like this one.. Happy shredding!

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By Metal man

from Arizona

If you were even thinking about getting this guitar, BUY IT! It is simply the best guitar I have ever played. It is so comfortable. The neck is buy far the fastest neck i heve ever played on. I also own a gibson les paul standerd and i love this esp so much more. Its a little spendy but it is worth it. The duall emg 81s sound so good, even for cleans. The oringinal floyd rose is so awsome. Over all , its the best feeling, most comfortable, best sounding, and most fastest guitar i have ever played. Especially in the price range. So good for metal riffs, I cant even express how nice this guitar is.
