Very solid buy

By spencer trowbridge

from Portland, Oregon

As a long-time Slayer fan, I had actually wanted to buy the regular JH-600 for the longest time, but then I spotted this one in my local GC, and when I learned that it had similar features (EMGs, Kahler tremolo, ebony fretboard) I decided to go for it. What a great guitar. My two favorite things about it are the neck and the sound. The neck is very wide and slim (it's actually extremely similar to the PRS wide-thin neck in my experience), and when you combine that with its 24.75 scale length, you have a guitar that is very easy to get around on. It is also very heavy guitar, and with the EMGs, the result is a tone that is, in a word, massive. The Kahler tremolo is great, too - totally different feel from a Floyd Rose, but very cool.
