My son bought this guitar in Red, very nice for the price, neck feels good, paint job nice, tones from this axe are great, my son is away in the US Army & I'll keep the dust off of this baby - good to go. Like it. David C. in Arizona.
this is a very nice guitar, the sound of the stock p'ups are very good clean or with distortion, fast and smooth neck (for the price), an incredible guitar and a killer look
This guitar is really great, feels comfortable for me. Many people complain the tone isn't good but it really depends on the equipment you have like the amp and pedals. I could do a lot with this guitar, I'm glad i bought it
Iv had this for 2 years now.Its amazing for metal/rock.The stock pckups are very muddy and they make a clean channel very dirty. But who plays clean nowadays:)Anyway,it is superbly easy to play.I played tis vs.an ibanez with a wizard neck. This is only a litle more thick. Its got a wide fretboard making it super easy to play.It is very durable iv dropped it a few times..only afew scratches. It may slide off your lap, just because off weird shape.I think this a good guitar for money, but they make this with a floyd rose for same price on musicians friend.Go with the floyd one. Also if u want to make it sound better, put emg's in it!or even seymours!I plan on emgs...
What you want to know- It sounds fantastic. Great clean sound and disgustingly awesome distortion. I can't get over how great this thing can sound. (I use a Peavey Vypyr.) Neck is nice and thin and this thing is EASY to play- just very smooth, weight is perfect, looks are killer. My only two complaints- sustain is short-lived-it goes for a few then just dies, tapping is not so hot-with both pick-ups on it's somewhat better, but forget it with one. Overall, worth every cent and then some. Great all around sound. If you are considering it, STOP now and BUY it. What you might not care to know- First, I'm a research fanatic. I spent months trying to decide what kind of guitar I wanted. Second, I'm 37 and a second time beginner who used to play around on the guitar in high school. I like a broad range- Hendrix, Zeppelin, Cream, Boston, Kansas, Ratt, Poison, Skid Row, Metallica, Alice in Chains, STP, Godsmack, etc etc etc. I've played quite a bit on a late 70s Les Paul and was 90% decided on an Epiphone Les Paul after lots of reading and one Guitar Center visit. On my second trip, I decided to play everything I was remotely interested in- 3 Les Pauls, 3 Ibanezes, a couple of BC Riches, some other stuff and then I saw the F-50 and remembered it got good reviews. I was impressed and started taking turns with this and the Les Pauls. Les Paul wins on richness and sustain, especially when played cleanly, but the F-50 wins 10 times over with crunch and distortion and the clean is very acceptable. After playing all night when I got it home, I know I made the right choice.
After playing guitar for a little over a year i decided to trade in "Pawn-Shop Special" and move up to a brand new guitar from Guitar Center. I didn't want to brake my bank, and I wanted a guitar that was good for the little price I was willing to pay. So i found this baby, let me tell you I love this guitar. It has a good rhythm sound, it has a great body style, and after using this guitar I will never buy one with less then 24 frets. The LH-150 humbuckers are alright, but if you don't like their sound they can easily be switched out with something you perfer. So if you were like me and was budding guitarest looking for cheap to guitar to really start you off, look no further.
Its been 1 year since I've bought the guitar and without any modification it sounds tough and the distortion produced through any amp is the best for the price. I wanted a B.C. Rich but I am so glad that I got this ESP, I love the guitar. Not only that but I thank the Guitar center staff for helping me with my pick, the people at the GC in Long Island City were the best I've ever met and I'm so glad they sold me this guitar.
I got this guitar and it was awesome! I love the sound and the body shape. i also got a MG3 30w amp with it and it sound totally amazing. the price is great too. Look at it! Buy it! Play it!
I've owned this guitar for almost a year now, and it has to be hands down the best guitar I've ever played. The neck is super fast, and the pickups don't even need to be replaced. If you get the chance, buy the guitar.
Great Guitar for the price! Beautiful finish and the pickups are great. The deep cut away allowsfor easy playing of high frets. Only dislike of the guitar is the location of the strap knobs...its kinda of in a akward position
