Amazing!!

Comments about ESP Alex Wade 7-String Electric Guitar:

Ive had this guitar for 8 months, and there hasn't been a day that I regret purchasing this guitar. Since day one of playing it, I have experienced no problems what so ever. The thing that pulled me towards purchasing this guitar was the fact that it had passive pickups in it, yet it is played by the guitarist of Whitechapel. Knowing that they originally used active EMGs, and I myself used active Seymour Duncan blackouts, I wanted to see why they made the switch and decided to make the switch as well. I could not be more satisfied with the tone I get from this. Perfect crunch for any Deathcore, death metal, metalcore, and anything in between.

Comments about ESP Alex Wade 7-String Electric Guitar:

To start, the pickups in this guitar sound great, and it looks amazing. It has a great feeling neck as well. The only reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 is because when I first got it my low string kept breaking (apparently do to a "burl" in the bridge) but, It was an easy fix done by a local tech. Now it's perfect as far as I'm concerned.

Good tone. Quality feel. Defective/Terrible hardware.

Comments about ESP Alex Wade 7-String Electric Guitar:

More Like 3.5 stars. Here's the good. The D Activators sound amazing. Perfect for anything from Jazz to Prog/Tech/Metal. Finish is flawless, overall, it feels like a sturdy, quality instrument. Now the bad... All of my hardware was defective out of the box. Went to change the strings and the action and that's when I found multiple stripped screws in the bridge saddles. The nut was also filed too low and the two lowest string sockets were too deep so strings of the stock gauge were hitting on the first few frets. Sadly I did not change the stock strings for 3 weeks and when I did, I found all these problems. Return/Exchange is not happening because it would cost me more in gas to drive to my nearest GC and shipping is out of the question. My advice. Change the stock strings ASAP so if there's problems, you'll know right away.

Comments about ESP Alex Wade 7-String Electric Guitar:

Ive always been an ibanez man when it comes to 7's but when i saw this guitar i had to get it. The neck has such a great feel and the heel is very comfortable when playing higher up, and the ebony fretboard is gorgeous and all frets are smooth with no sharp edges and completely level. I had to do a basic setup because the action was a little high but i think it was from being shipped in the cold. But now its perfect. The finish is such a deep red it has to be seen in person to truly justify it. I was suprised at the wide range of tones i could get from the pickups, most of my guitars have active but im gonna leave these in. The only thing that could throw some people off is no fret markers but it doesnt bother me. I chose this over an ibanez premium 7 and i am glad i did.

Comments about ESP Alex Wade 7-String Electric Guitar:

Found this instore at Guitar Center. Im a total Whitechapel fan so i HAD to play it. Played it through a couple tube combo amps and each and every one of them made this guitar sound incredible. I even put in the Chapel amp eq settings. Bass 10, Mid 4, Treble 7ish. Killer beyond words. I always loved 7 strings but this by far is my favorite. Im really digging the Dimarzios in them.
