The LTD Viper-300FM electric guitar has a fabulous feel with a double cutaway design and thin U neck contour which provides you exceptional access to the entire fretboard. It's off-center, super beveled edges give its vintage body style a luscious, modern look. Speaking of edges, the guitar's mahogany body and flamed maple top, combined with the EMG 81 (bridge) and EMG85 (neck) pickups give it a more edgier sound, perfect for rock. The 24-3/4" scale, along with the thin neck make playing this axe a breeze. Other features include black nickel hardware, a 42mm standard nut, ESP tuners, tune-o-matic bridge & tailpiece, toggle pickup selector, and volume and tone knob controls.

What a cool looking guitar from ESP. Plays a lot like a classic Gibson SG. However, the EMG pickups make you sound like Zakk Wylde. This is a great metal guitar. The pickups scream on this guitar. The bridge is perfect if you don't like to screw around with floating tremolos. It's really comfortable to play and the guitar looks great. Very cool body style, it's like an updated metal version of the SG. Solid guitar that will never let you down.
I searched for the perfect guitar for a while until I found the 300fm. It is worth the extra money compared to the 100 because the quality and tone and untouchable. The neck has a c shape to it which is my favorite. Its not to fat and not skinny to where it hurts the sides of your hands. This guitar sounds good for rock and blues, but was made for metal.
I've owened my Viper for just over a year now, It's my main Axe (when I don't need a Floyd), The pick-ups are great (EMG 81/85)full crunchy sound with lots of sustain and great squeals (pinch harmonics)... the neck plays awesome, smooth and fast (it's a Set-Neck, like Les Pauls) the ESP tuners keep it in tune forever. and the Viper is balanced perfect (not neck heavy). I play metal so the Evil SG look is nasty! Go ahead and check out the Epiphone & Gibson SGs,
then play an ESP Viper, it's the SG for the 21st century guitar player... btw, no need to buy the more expensive model, the Viper 300 fits the bill! (this is not an entry level guitar)
