  Straight from the box it plays beautifully. The Strings are SIT strings and have a great fresh feel, the pinch harmonics are clear, and the neck is wide but comfortable. I love ESP guitars or my other treasured Les Paul Gibson, but face it, 6 strings without appropriate gauge strings get floppy, and you lose the high E string when drop tuning to my favorite tuning A-E-A-D-G-B. With this amazing guitar you get to keep the high E string, and get the drop A (or B standard) power chords. This exceeded my expectations, and I absolutely reccomend it to ANYONE. The pick ups are quite a preference than the classic humbucker pick ups. 6/5 stars.

• Great Guitar for the Money

  Awesome playability right out of the box. The neck through construction allows effortless movement up and down the perfectly tapered neck with no interferance from a neck heel. The cut out to access higher frets allows easy access all the way to the 24th fret. On some other brands I tried your hand gets stopped at fret 22 when it hits the inside of the cut out, and there are two more to go. The black stain finish does not get sticky when your hands sweat. It is always smooth and fast. I personally love the neck profile. It's not too flat. It's only as wide as it needs to be in order to accomodate a seventh string. Very comfortable. I have small hands with short stubby fingers and never thought I'd be albe to play a 7 string. The long scale gives the strings a really tight and snappy feel. It makes tremolo picking really fast and easy. String bends are EXTREMELY responsive. Of course this changes as soon as you start down tuning. The pickups are what you'd expect from active EMG's. The 81 at the bridge screams, and the 707 at the neck is chunky and cleans up real pretty for clean tones. They are a bit mid-rangey, though. You'll need to give your amp a little more gain and adjust your EQ if you want to get a similar sound that you had with passive pickups. The only thing I don't like about this guitar is where they put the toggle switch. It's hard to hit on the fly because it's blocked by the volume knob. Some people may like this because they can't accidentally hit it. I hate it becase I switch from neck to bridge off and on while playing. Also, I'd love it if it had coil tapped pickups. This only has a 3 way toggle.

  Amazing guitar has a super fast neck the action is set up super low from factory neck is thin but not flat and as always emg pic ups sound awesome
