The LTD FX-360 proves that you don't need fancy colors and paint jobs to maintain that edgy rock look and sound. The FX's mahogany body style with its sharp beveled edges is the perfect stage to showcase its spalted maple top: a tonewood that requires just the right amount of ravaging by nature to get its amazing variety of alluring colors and patterns. The LTD-360's thin, U-shaped, mahogany-and-rosewood set neck and 22 extra jumbo frets make playing an absolute dream. It also comes with EMG 81 (bridge) and EMG 60 (neck) pickups that help give this axe more punch and crunch. The guitar also features ESP tuners, a Tune-o-matic bridge and tailpiece, volume and tone control, and black nickel hardware.

  • Great Guitar for the Price

    My friend got this guitar as a trade for his Jackson D3 and he has let me try it several times, enough that I'm able to write a review about it. The guitar is a looker, the classic X-plorer look is sure to turn heads with the Natural Finish. Not only does it look good, it feels amazing while playing,even when playing for long periods of time, because of its extremely light weight(A Plus for active giggers!). The neck is smooth and has a nice profile, and the pickups are just fire-breathing dragons at your disposal(Perfect for metal yet they sound good while on a clean setting). The bridge is easily adjustable if you're looking to drop-tune this baby and take it all the way to the metal highway. So, if you are an occasional player, or an active musician looking for a gorgeous axe that looks, plays, and sounds amazing; you're covered with this guitar.

  • Good price to sound like Hetfield

    Allow me to start by saying that this is the seventh guitar I've owned and have been playing for 11 years. I purchased the FX-360sm and was blown away by the value for the money. First thing I noticed was the beautiful Spalted Maple top. It would be an understatement to say that it was striking. I love the active EMGs. I play alot of Metallica and I tend to prefer using the 81, as opposed to the 60 or turning them both on. Best way to describe it is that the 81 feels more like their sound from And Justice for all... The 60 has a really bassy sound and actually feels more scooped than the 81, not alot of mids. The 60 sounds great for playing Black Album stuff though, particularly Of Wolf and Man. I have to say, however, that the I was impressed with the clean tones of both pickups. Activating both while playing the bridge in Master of Puppets or the verse riff for Fade to Black sounds spot on. Nice full range of tones. The 60 by itself seems best used for overdriven tones as opposed to heavy distortion. Recommend using MXR overdrive pedal and a cry baby wah to get the full effect. The jumbo Frets are a thrashers dream. Originally used GHS Boomers on her, but got a little hum when not strumming. Switched to Ernie Balls and that problem went away. Needless to say, if your thinking about buying this guitar I'd tell you to go for it.
