I just bought this guitar a couple weeks ago. This guitar is absolutely amazing. The EMG's sound so awesome. I find that chords are easier to play on this guitar then they were on my Starcaster. I play alot of metallica, and this guitar is just perfect for this kind of music. If you like metal, this guitar is what you want, trust me. The only complain I have so far is that the E and A string buzzed quite a bit, but I fixed that by raising the action slightly. If you are considering buying this, dont hesitate, you will NOT be dissapointed. If anything were to happen to my EX-401, you can be sure im going to get another one.
I dont know where to get started. Sick, Brutal, Solid. This guitar is outstanding. I play in a Technical Death Metal band and its taken me years to find the guitar for me. At one point I had a jackson kelly and it seemed to be more of a thrash guitar, but when another band put this up for sale I saw the price and in the situation I was in I was not passing up the opportunity. The EMGs are just kickass; pinch harmonics sound better, heavy palm muting sounds wayyy better, shredding sounds flawless. The guitar itself is solid; a well designed, well constructed metal machine. Every time i open the case to practice which is quite often, I fall in love with it.
I Have Played This Guitar Over My Friends And He Has A Line 6 Half Stack This Guitar Can Pick Up So Much Sound And It Rings Out Really Good With Pinch Harmonics This Guitar Is More For Playing Metal I Think But Thats Be Cause I Play Metal But If Your A Good Player I Recomend This Guitar But If Your A Begginer I Still Recomend It Because You Can Pick Up So Much From Just Playing It I Have
