  • Nice axe!!

As reviewed by Mark Micciulla on 8/30/2013

Just picked this up for 350.00 and and so far it is one of my better gear purchases. Compared with other guitars in this price range and some higher it more than holds its own. My main guitar is a Gibson SG standard. Is this one better? I wouldn't say that, but it sure can compete with it for playing time. If you are on the fence on this one I would go for it. I was thinking of waiting and saving up for a higher priced version of this same guitar and I am glad I didn't wait! This one sounds just as good. This guitar looks great and feels solid in your hands. Not too heavy and not too light. The pickups are not bad at all, don't see any reason to change them out just yet. Love the push / pull feature . You aren't going to get a stratty sound, but I really like the way it cleans up the sound a bit for cleaner/mellower passages. I play mostly classic and heavier rock, and this guitar is suited perfectly for this. I'm so glad they made one of these models without the active pickups. (not a big fan). This guitar has a classic vintage look and tone to it. The guitar stays in tune very well and the neck is a dream to play on. I am still trying to find something wrong with it and figure out how it can sell for such a low price. Just glad I got one before they are all gone! Better get yourself one soon!

  • Awesome deal!

Just picked up the black cherry sunburst model of this and love it. I have an American Strat but wanted a Les Paul type guitar and this is a great one at a fantastic price. Love the coil split.

  • Nicely Done LTD !!

As reviewed by Mark Gagnon on 4/16/2014

I was looking for a single cut/ LP looker and played this one at my local GC. I have a few high end guitars and for the price, fit and finish, tone etc. this one is hard to beat. The set up was perfect out of the box. I seem to pick this one up first when I plug in. I have checked out lower end Gibson LP,s triple the price and this EC stands tall IMO. Enjoy.....
