An LTD counterpart to ESP's popular "aged" models.

The aging treatment on the honey burst (with flamed maple top) and vintage black finishes gives it the look of a well-traveled and dearly loved axe. ESP LH-150 humbuckers with coil-splitting give you complete tonal domination. The 24-3/4"-scale, thin U-neck contour, extra-jumbo frets, and Tune-o-matic-style adjustable bridge provide full-blown pro playability.

Check the drop-down menu to the right to select colors and/or other options.

  • Gorgeous blend of vintage and modern appointments

As reviewed by Tosh Savage on 8/19/2010

I've always been a Les Paul fan, and I've played hundreds of guitars accross multiple brands, but ESP has never let me down. I bought this in the Chicago GC in a limited edition Goldtop finish that caught my eye. When I plugged in and set the tone and volume to my preferences, I found the guitar to be warm and rounded with both pups on a clean channel, and razor sharp with the lead pup on high-gain distortion (both pups are coil-split). The quality of the construction is very high, has tons of sustain throughout my extrme note bending, and she's simply eye candy for any guitarist. My only complaints are that the lead pup gets some feedback at high volumes and extreme distortion, and the tone knob popped off when I pulled it up, but thats nothing some sparingly placed super glue cant handle. All and all, she has the playablity and construction I love from more modern guitars, and the sound and feel of a vintage. Personally, I'll never day dream about owning a Les Paul ever again.

  • The best ever!

As reviewed by Luiz Henrique Brochetto on 9/26/2011

I bought this guitar a few weeks ago, didn't had a chance to test it before buying. The first impression was kinda awkward, the extra jumbo frets did a great difference in the playability, and I felt kinda disappointed. After 1 or 2 days playing it, I've changed my mind COMPLETELY. I doubt there is any other lp-like guitar in the world that is as comfortable as this one. Playing standing up with it feels like your sitting down, nothing gets harder, unbelievable. People complain about the pickups and all, the bridge one sounded weird at first, but i raised it a little bit and it sounds amazing, seriously, I wouldnt change them, at least not now. The only thing that would be a good thing to change would be the nut, plastic nuts kill a little bit of the tone. I got the aged honey burst one, it looks great, the relic stuff looks kinda crappy, but it is still kinda cool. The finish, satin is thousands of times better than any glossy epiphone crap, looks and feels awesome. By the way, comparing to a epiphone standard, this one humilliates, seriously, epiphones are damn overrated and this LTD EC 256 is more of a Gibson competitor. If your in doubt between this guitar and any other lp type, don't think twice, this is the best choice you can ever make. A bone nut and a pair seymour duncans on this beauty and it would destroy any Gibson Studio out there. The tone fits anything you want, really, anything. You can throw a hi gain pedal and do your shredding and stuff, or you can do like me, get a low wattage tube amp, crank it and play anything from the allman brothers band to Kiss, or you could just set the amp to clean and hear the beauty of a clean lp tone.

  • So Versitile

As reviewed by Hayden on 7/21/2011

i bought this guitar a few months back as a floor model and it's incredible. with the coil splitting and the mahogany this guitar can cover almost any musical terrain you can throw at it. plus the extra jumbo frets let you fly over the fret board along with the matte paint job so sweaty hands won't stick. and the pick ups are really nice for passive pickups. i play this mainly through my Fender frontman 212 R and just using thae amps chanels and the options on this guitar i can get almost any tone i want. it is a great guitar perfect for almost every style.
