I had a choice between Schecter Hell Raiser FR and ESP LTD H-100QM.Hands down...The ESP.Only because ESP had all the Abalone all over the side of the neck.It looks like the guitar worth more than the cost "dress for less".As for the sound,versality,it rocks along with my Spider Valves.And Oh! The EMG pickups doe'nt come battery powered like The Schecter.which thats a plus.Like my grandfather use to say "More Kicks less Clicks".
Ok firstly I'd like to say this guitar is AMAZING. I had a friend who had this and these deluxe series are just straight up phenomenal. They stay in tune EXTREMELY well, the EMG pickups give it a KILLER heavy tone, and it was already amazingly setup. The only thing I didn't like at first was the fact that it came with 9 gauge strings, so I changed them to BT-10 10 52 DR strings, and now it sounds SO heavy! It's insane and was worth every penny.
If ESP LTD can do one thing, it's make badass guitars at affordable prices. The FR on this is just a licensed one, but it simply will NOT go out of tune, no matter how much you dive bomb! Not a fan of the inlays/binding or active pickups, but there are so many good features on this guitar I can easily forget about what I don't like. The neck plays very fast for having a glossy finish and the guitar is very light, you can shred for hours standing up!
