  • Amber Sunburst- what was I waiting for???

As reviewed by coatesycobra on 7/13/2011

I was thinking about buying this guitar for over a year. I wanted to get one with the active EMG's but could not stop going back to look a the Amber Sunburst model with the Seymour Duncans. This is a tremendously beautiful guitar. The finish is beyond what should be available on a sub-$1,000 guitar... perfect and well crafted. The Seymours really deliver too. Excellent for blues, rock, classic metal (Priest, Maiden, Dio) If you need the active EMG's for your style of music... go ahead and grab one. If they are all put together like the one I ordered, you will not be disappointed with anything about this guitar. I think I am going to pick up the Silverburst when I can come up with the cash. Then I'll be able to compare the tones of the two. For now, I am more than happy and satisfied with my EC-1000. Don't wait like I did... make a move.

  • ec awsome

As reviewed by Mike Rammel on 6/14/2011

I have two eclipse deluxe. One cherry, one vintage black. These guitars drive a tube amp better than any guitar I have ever played. I have a line 6 hd100 mk2, and the sounds are amazing. I can play clean and it sounds so clear through the neck pick-up. Turn up the volume and get a little dirt and it sounds like a semi-hollow. Kick on the distortion and the neck pick up sings. depending on how much volume you give it it will bark like a fender, or scream like a gibson. The bridge pick-up is just dripping with sustain - just has to be heard. The neck is smaller then a Gibson and it has Jumbo frets which are super easy to bend. Taps are clean and effort less. I recommend this axe to everyone.

  • GREAT GUITAR

As reviewed by nick on 12/7/2009

I purchased the ambersunburst with the Seymour duncan picups a few months ago.At first i didnt really like the tone it gave me straight out of the box so i changed the strings right away and it sounded PERFECT. This guitar sounds better than any guitar in its price range, and the tone has such a range. I write music like a mix between red hot chili peppers and audioslave and this guitar nails it through a pevey classic 30 tube amp with pedals. i know people that even play hardcore screamo using this guitar. I dont know any other guitars that can be used(and sound good) for so many different genres. The guitar also has good craftsmanship. Having 2 valume knobs for each pickup helps use the toggle switch as killswitch. However i would rather ESP put there name on such a good product on the headstock instead of LTD. That is my only complaint. It gets annoying when people ask me what a LTD is when most people know who ESP is
