This case is not actually a universal or open cavity case. It's actually FORM FIT for the "B" series basses by ESP. I just bought the ESP LTD Deluxe B-1005 and it fits very snug and secure and has no play in it at all. Highly recommended to go with your ESP B series Bass.
This is a great case. I was really impressed with how it looks, how solid the claps on it are, and just over all how light it is! They don't mention that it locks also, and that's a great extra that makes for some extra piece of mind. It's accessory compartment is large, and spacious. I can fit tons of stuff in there. It's a great over all case and even fits 6 string models.
I bought this for the ESP LTD D-5 and it fits perfect. I was suprized when it arrived how sturdy it was. The ends and corners are reinforced. The inside it a perfect fit for the B or D series 4, 5, or 6 string basses. There is plenty of storage room inside and it is very plush. I have had this on several gigs so far with no problems. I have found that the cheap cases always seem to have issues either they dont latch right or the inside isn't done well or something. This thing on the other hand, although pricey is built very well. I will by another one for my other bass.
