      Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar (100291504)
Availability:

Big-toned, super-playable, and remarkably priced.

The DR-212 is a true 12-string acoustic guitar with the big sound and fine engineering you expect from Epiphone. The DR-212 is not just a dreadnought with 6 extra strings. We designed the DR-212 to take the stress of extra strings and not just support the Spruce top but provide the proper bracing so what you hear is a balanced, cutting, and attention-getting tone. The 12-string dreadnought has often been thought of as the classic-go to guitar for blues, folk, rock, country, and everything in-between.

Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar Features:

  • Mahogany body
    Select spruce top
    Set mahogany neck
    Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays
    Chrome hardware
    25.5" scale
    1.6" nut width

  • amazing value

As reviewed by vince on 1/3/2009

I purchased this guitar two months ago, and I have not been able to put the thing down. The action and quality of this guitar is just remarkable. Not to sound redundant or cliche, but it plays like something that cost two to three times more. I really love this guitar and it is one of my favorite instruments to play. It is one of the best sounding guitars I've played, regardless of price...

  • Review: Epiphone DR-212 12-String Acoustic Guitar

As reviewed by Gerald Founds on 1/4/2012

This Epiphone 12 string - the DR-212 - has earned the word famous. No wonder it is a best seller ! I loved it right out of the box as I had that hunch and have not been able to put it down yet ! Beautiful woods and appearance. Fantastic neck and fingerboard. Frets are exactly right. Great mahogany body and sound. I was searching in the just a couple hundred range for a 12 String Acoustic and the Epiphone DR-212 was actually the lowest priced out of a small handful as a Johnson, Fender, Yamaha, etc. to shop from, amazingly. A beautiful sound and beautifully sounding guitar with that great full 12 String sound desired. I am much more than satisfied with the Epiphone DR-212 and will actually stack it with any box at any price. Amazing price - get yours while they last ! (A tip from my first Teacher - too big fingers ? Get a 12 string and new 6 string nut and use it as a 6 string, kind of like an Gibson/Epiphone SG finger board which is always the SG tapered finger board - one magic of the SG. I would not dare to do so with the Epiphone DR-212 though, too gorgeous a piece ! ) Enjoy one heck of a nice Epiphone DR-212, you will NOT be disappointed.

  • Another great Epiphone

As reviewed by Clint Hooten on 6/12/2012

I got my new 12 string about two weeks back. I must say I held a little trepidation ordering a guitar on line without touching it. I own a 1953 Triumph auditorium and that helped lower my anxiety about the DR212. When it arrived I rushed to the local Guitar Center to pick it up and was met with a most pleasant surprise. I played beautifully right out of the box. I have put about thirty hours on it so far and I am still amazed. The action is wonderful and the tone is warm and full. for the first time in years I have had to work on my technique which had gotten a bit sloppy playing a Les Paul and a Strat for blues. A few days of dedicated practice created only minimal discomfort and all is good. The tone seems to improve with every session. I have not found the strings that came on the guitar to be unacceptable as some reviewers have. When they tire I will use my stand by D'Addarios. I can't believe I got this much instrument for the price paid. The Gods have smiled upon me. Great guitar.
