Overview

Coming off the successful release of the SRO Series open coil pickups, the ST-11 SRO Single Coil Prewired Pickguard features SRO SC1 single coils loaded in black or white Strat style pickguards. With the pickups preloaded and wiring complete, the most time consuming part of the install is getting the stock pickups out of your guitar.

The SC1 single coil pickups feature a combination of warm, clear tone with the traditional percussive attack of pole-pieces. They're designed with Alnico V Bar magnets specifically wound for neck, middle, and bridge positions. The result is an enhancement to the classic Strat style pickup with a bright top, warm mids, and just the right amount of low end. The SC1's are a perfect upgrade to any guitar.

    Easy Instalation, Great Sound

    By Steven Gast

Comments about EMG ST-11 SRO Single Coil Prewired Pickguard:

Okay, don?t laugh, I bought a Cozart twelve string Strat copy on eBay for 75 dollars. It plays well and I really like it, but hooking it up to an amp it was painful to listen to. So I started looking for ways to improve it. I came across EMG ST-11 at the Guitar Center web site. I did a little research on EMG pickups and most were favorable. I watched the installation video on the EMG site and it looked easy enough. For my installation it took a little trimming around the neck area and some re-drilling for the cover holes. I was expecting to do a little of this since it was a Strat copy and not a real Strat. After the hooking it up to my amp I was impressed by the quality of sound I was hearing. It was a totally different and better sound that the original pickups. So if you have a Strat copy that sounds terrible and you?re looking for a way to improve it dramatically, this is an economical answer.
